METROPOLIS — Superman is a registered Republican, as confirmed by LuthorCorp CEO Lex Luthor at a press conference on Monday.
"Superman is not who you think he is!" Luthor said. "He's no hero. He's a registered Republican and has been since 2024!"
Luthor reportedly discovered the shocking news after breaking into Superman's Fortress of Solitude and discovering his voter registration form. "I knew I was going to find something horrific, but I never thought it'd be that he was a Republican," Luthor later said of the find. "Maybe now the president will approve my 'Kill Superman' proposal."
According to Luthor, a copy of the Thomas Sowell book Basic Economics was also found on the Last Son of Krypton's crystal bookshelf.
The Man of Steel had not yet commented on claims that he was a Republican, and he may not have to, as most people already assumed he was a Republican.
"He can leap tall buildings in a single bound. That doesn't sound like a Democrat to me," said local dockworker Bibbo Bibbowski.
"Superman is an alien from another planet who perfectly assimilated into the American way of life and spends his own personal liberty doing good and helping others instead of calling on the government to do so," local man John Henry Irons said. "Are we supposed to be surprised he's a Republican?"
Others claimed his party affiliation was not particularly important since he just saved the city from a giant robot last week. "I was thrown off a fifty-story building, and he plucked me out...

Not the latest version.
Lex Luthor drinks Bud light.
He hates Sydney Sweeney too and calls her a fascist.
And he buys it at Target.
But does he drive a new Jaguar too?
And he didn’t say when he took the oath of citizenship?
A child who immigrates to the United States as the adopted child of a U.S. citizen automatically becomes a U.S. citizen if the adoption is full and final before the child's 18th birthday, if the child is "lawfully admitted" as a permanent resident before his or her 18th birthday, and if he or she "is residing" in the United States in the citizen parent's legal and physical custody before his or her 18th birthday.
While Superman did not enter the country as a prospective adoptive child he was legally adopted by the Kents who are American citizens.
Once the Adoption was complete he became a US citizen without needing to go through a nationalization process or swear any oaths.
This latest movie's problem, to me, is that Lex Luthor's the over-powered one. Multi-billionaire, apparently owns Congressmen, so hyper-intelligent he creates "pocket dimensions" through manipulating physics in ways no one else can conceive.
A guy like that wouldn't waste his time or get his panties in a twist over a comparatively idiotic alien who possesses fantastic abilities. He'd have Kal-El directly working for him one way or another - Super Pool Boy.
I like how the Bee got John Henry Irons mentioned. In the comics he was a guy who built an Iron Man-style suit to become the hero "Steel". There was even a very bad movie about him starring a young Shaquille O'Neal.
Lois & Clark focused more on Clark Kent rather than Superman. Dean Cain did a good job in that role.
Dean’s a good fellow, makes the media rounds spreading the gospel of conservatism. He just had his 59th birthday July 31st and still looks able to play the role (jealous grumble).
Way cool for a TV budget - like Tony Stark’s suit catching up to him when Loki tossed him through the penthouse window. I started watching that show but felt it was going soap operatic with the two boys being differently abled.
Must have been a little Kryptonite in his Wheaties one morning.
