When the well-preserved body of the famous Ötzi the Iceman was recovered from the ice in the Austrian-Italian Alps in 1991, his remains provided archaeologists with a wealth of information about life in Europe more than 5,000 years ago. Surprisingly, sequencing of his genome indicated that he shared a very high proportion of his ancestry with early farmers who lived in Anatolia. Science News Today reports that a groundbreaking new study analyzed the DNA of 47 other individuals who lived alongside Ötzi in the Austrian Tyrol between 6400 and 1300 b.c. to determine if they shared genomic similarities. The research indicated that, like Ötzi, 80 to 90 percent of these individuals' ancestry came from Neolithic farmers who had migrated to Europe during the Neolithic period. The results also showed that after that time, there was a remarkable genetic stability over two millennia, and that communities in the Alps were not affected genetically by waves of immigrants and newcomers like in the rest of Europe. Like the Iceman, they also had dark hair, dark eyes, and were lactose intolerant. However, Ötzi's genetic background has now proved to be unique, as his paternal lineage did not match that of any of the other 47 individuals. Moreover, his maternal lineage does not match that of any known population in Europe, modern or ancient. Read the original scholarly article about this research in Nature Communications. Maybe bad data!
Your taking we were cave men for a long time as fact. The Bible lists skilled craftsman came very early. That we were first farmers and later included meat. The written word also did not take long to use.
He was lactose intolerant?
Could it be ancient aliens, as some ancient alien theorists theorize?
Writing was certainly a major step forward. Technology is another.
More likely he was attacked by some thug, or some prehistoric community organizers, so he fought back, then ran for his life, wounded, unrobbed, and either hid there or missed his footing in the dark, and there he died.
😆
But obviously when Ötzi was killed 5000 years ago or so, there was no glaciers/ice there. That all came later, covering him up and preserving him, and now has melted away. Again.

there are two big problems in the fossil record 1.) the cambrian explosion 2.how life came from non life.
a third problem is the math. scientists can tell how long it takes for each random mutation to happen that creates speciation and calculate backwards how long it would take to make living things.
The length of time it would take is far longer than the age of the earth or the age of the universe.
So some other process is also going on.
But we human civilization are in the middle of one of these vast something else going on periods like the cambrian explosion.
How can we know this. We know this because 500 million years from now geologists digging in the dirt will see evidence of civlization but it will come from nothing. There won’t be a layer below with an intermediary primitive something. Rather It will look exactly like an alien civilzation had plunked down on earth and set up shop.
However, if the bible is still around it will record that God, himself, came to earth and dwelt among us for a time and then went back to heaven...and that he promised to return.
Did he return?
But the civilization on earth went out to the stars instead to look for Him
