The year 1973 was full of change and entirely groovy. The U.S. pulled out of Vietnam, Roe v. Wade shook up the courts, and gas lines stretched for blocks as the oil crisis took hold. On the flip side, bell-bottoms were in full swing, Pink Floyd dropped “The Dark Side of the Moon,” and a little horse named Secretariat ran straight into the history books. These 1973 photos represent how electric the year was.

Your deity is AWOL. Please don’t. You only make it worse. At this point it’s just offensive and hurtful and only makes you feel better.

I have seen reality.

You don’t care about me...you care about preaching!

Stop

Your deity is AWOL

Until he shows up. But here "away without leave" is a category mistake. I know what you meant, but strictly speaking, a junior doesn't "give leave" to the commanding officer.

Anyhow, carry on.

I guess your life is a lesson in seizing joy when you find it. Because it may turn out to be rare and precious.

I remember Horn and Hardart’s at the Reading Terminal (Philadelphia Train Station). There was a wall of ornate locked compartments with glass windows like the old post office boxes. You put in a nickel and get a sandwich, a piece of pie or whatever - but that was more like the 50s and 60s I think.

If you scroll down to the 30 Throwback Photos From the Late ’60s, to picture 24. ‘Los Angeles Teens in the ’60s’ those boys appear to be Dino, Desi & Billy.

Good eye. That is exactly who they were. I could recognise Desi, but forgot the other two.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (”EGR” valves and carburetor baseplates); “Smog Pumps”. Seat Belt warnings and interlocks (supposed to prevent ignition start when driver not wearing seat belt).

BTW, DEI was in effect - but the term (usage) was not yet.

Bell Bottom pants. Disco.
