Multiple police officers were injured in Portland, Oregon Saturday night during a violent riot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.
A mob launched fireworks, smoke grenades and threw rocks at federal law enforcement, as they broke glass and forcibly entered the ICE facility, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital.
Four officers were injured during the attack, though federal law enforcement was able to secure the facility.
The riot came after the city hosted a "No Kings" protest at 1 p.m., which officials labeled a "large-scale free speech gathering."
Tens of thousands of people marched through downtown and returned to Waterfront Park at about 4 p.m., which is about five miles from the ICE field location.
The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) declared an unlawful assembly near the facility at about 6:30 p.m. local time, warning it would use crowd control measures, including impact munitions or other physical force, if necessary.
About 30 minutes later, PPB said a medical event was reported within the ICE facility and medical personnel needed to enter.
They warned rioters not to interfere with police, or "force may be used against you," the bureau wrote on social media.

There’s no reason for this. It’s a federal facility; the LEO guarding it should’ve shot to kill.
I read elsewhere that LEOs are using rubber bullets, and maybe that’s the case here.
In our mothers’ attics we probably could find some of the old cap guns we used from Hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rogers days. Maybe we could donate them to the cause; they’d be as effective. (Can you still buy caps?)

I REMEMBER THAT! It was found the USSR was fermenting rebellion in MEXICO! There was almost a severing of diplomatic relations as a result.

They were “Peaceful” explosives and rocks.
Portland coppers deserve this. Throwing a rock is attempted murder. If you won’t shoot to protect your own go back to work in Uvalde where letting little kiddies die is considered OK.
Why are the ICE officers shooting those attempting to kill officers. Bricks and rocks are lethal weapons. Shoot a group of them one time and the mobs will dissipate or possibly it will take two times. After that the hostilities will involve isolated shooters hiding in tall buildings. The left has many trained marksmen and will use them to effect before this round is over. They may shoot police and ICE or they may shoot their compatriots in the street in order to blame the defenders of civilization for killing “innocent protesters.” They are not even “protesters,” rather they are rebels and terrorists.
They should not try to “win.” If they do their jobs effectively they will then win for the nation.
In Portland? Liberal judges will set them free. Then the perps will file suit for excessive force by the police.
