I’m gonna try to check in regularly. How often do you do the pings? If it’s weekly, I’ll check in with that, it’ll remind me.
I think my eyes are better! Although now I have the flu and it seems to be flaring them up some. But I’m making progress and that the best I can do. One day at a time. Looking at screens still makes my eyes hurt but I can do more than one. Bill pay at a time now, yay! It was a little tough in the beginning.

My son hasn’t driven since fall 2023 My insurance company informed me that since he had a license he had to be added to my policy or get his own. Quote 780 for half year additional
He’d like to eventually get medically in shape to work, get a vehicle n drive but now — no. There is no way I’ll let anyone uninsured drive Radish. Even though it’s a 10 year old vehicle it’s the nicest one I’ve ever driven. Thanks to help from a cousin

Did some food shopping while there although I already had on hand ingredients. I make my own sausage gravy- so easy and about 2.50 for a small can

My oldest daughter is now getting messages from the niece in CA. Since she blocked me, she is now sending messages to my daughter in response to what my daughter posted about the riots in LA.
Then when my daughter responds, she says I feel like you are attacking me. Geeeez!!!
It was 92* here yesterday and I was out in it to long so I felt miserable the rest of the day.
I had one ripe yellow squash in my little garden, so I picked it and sauted it. Yummy!

I have got to get off the computer and go balance out my checkbook. I hate doing that.
I’m going to gripe. I have felt quite awful since February. I’ve been slowly improving but definitely, still, not at all good. Today I had my regular checkup. I told them I’ve felt bad, what symptoms I’ve experienced.
They said I look great! The blood work will be the deciding factor. But I’m frustrated. I know how I feel. I’d like to know why.
I’m back in bed because I am still suffering the effects of jet lag.

For dinner making son Jeff sausage gravy/biscuits. I never had had them or even heard of them til I moved to NC the first time when I was about 28
Lots of new foods here in the south
My version
5 biscuits/Pillsbury(yes I could make my own biscuits but don’t want to)
8 Bob Evans sausage patties. 3 whole for biscuits. Other 5 chopped up and browned and removed from skillet and divided into 4 portions: 3 bagged and frozen for pizza.
Remainder added to the roux/milk gravy. Sauteed minced onion n garlic in sausage fat (added butter as the meat didn’t render enough fat for roux)
Salt /pepper/ whole milk for gravy. Add sausage
To serve-3 sausage patties in biscuits. Other two biscuits cut in half and covered with sausage gravy.
Mini Tater Tots(frozen) on side as well as small pitcher of remaining gravy
Have all basically ready to be warmed up except potatoes-they’ll be fresh.
Never know when he wants to eat but normally after 7. I’m not a night person so my prep is early so there is less opportunity to burn, cut, trip on nothing etc .

My mom was from Southern Illinois. She did not cook southern food.
