Boys enter kindergarten lagging behind girls in both academic readiness and behavior. A majority of teenagers agree that boys are more disruptive...girls get better grades, have more leadership roles and speak up more in class.

In interviews, young men say that school never felt like a good fit for them, or that they got the sense that teachers didn’t like boys, and that this left them feeling discouraged or undervalued. By high school, girls are more likely to graduate on time — and more likely to go to college.

It has always been my belief that girls did better. They always did when I was in school, anyway. This is nothing new to me.

I'd also like to know how many of these "disruptive" boys are fatherless and/or on psychotropics.
Agree this is not new. Boys mature later than girls do. Generally by High school they catch up.

There’s nothing wrong with boys. They naturally mature later than girls and are a lot more active because that’s how they are made, because as men they are made to run the world.

Back in olden times, they used to hire teenage boys to work as telephone operators. They switched to girls or women because the boys were too disruptive.
Some things don’t change.

They're outpacing men in being buried in student loan debt, too, which is why so many of them are psycho.
There was a reason that single sex high school education was popular for decades. Boys and girls have different needs educationally. Single sex education permitted schools to focus on the needs of one sex without the social distractions of dating and rivalries for affection.
It’s also a consequence of going so long without having a war, especially once Vietnam ended and we went to an all-volunteer military.
It was a given back then that boys should early on start acquiring skills they would need to be soldiers, since pretty much you could count on another war to happen every 20-40 years.
It’s what I experienced too; and then by high school the boys are doing better than girls in certain areas. (And I have no idea what ‘contraception’ has to do with something that’s always been true.)
That is an additional factor in the mating problems of Gen Z. Women are chasing the top 10% of all men (the other 90% can live in the Friendzone). And it seems that most of the women chasing the top 10% of men are bringing nothing to the table — except about $100,000 in student loan debt. That top 10% of men? A heck of a lot of them intend to stay single. We face a demographic collapse.
I think that was a good idea that we shouldn’t have given up.
