The New Jersey home that exploded with a man and a woman inside was the shocking end of a murder-suicide, according to authorities who found one of the victims had been shot in the head.
The bodies of the victims, who have not yet been publicly identified, were recovered from the burnt-out home after the fiery blast rocked Tranquility Court in Gloucester County’s Washington Township early Sunday.
Investigators have since revealed the woman’s charred remains were located in a bed and that she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Well, at least she didn’t burn to death.
I hope the guy enjoyed his preview and entrance into hell. I wonder if he thinks it was was worth it, now.
What a blast! .. and it happened in Tranquility Court!
Whoever offed themselves, also wanted to punish the people in that neighborhood. For what, it’s not at all clear. Not rational, or considerate, but that’s how it looks.
“That’s gotta hurt!”
Guess a divorce was too hard.
There is always the possibility that the wife was terminal with some illness and in pain and he suicided rather than live. Then again maybe he was just a hateful bastard, we just don’t know which yet.
“Consider it a divorce.”
Yeah, hard to tell, but while I can understand (but not justify) him doing her in in that situation, especially if he wanted it.
Its the suicide by explosion that indicates some real issues.
It destroyed EVERYTHING. There’s no knowing if there were kids involved but it obliterated any chance of them having anything to remember their parents by. If they wanted to.
He could also have used a bullet on himself and spared a lot of people a lot of danger.
Suicide by fire? Who wants to burn or explode to death? Why did didn’t the man shoot himself too?
Not to mention that someone else could have been hurt. Like a neighbor or a fire fighter.
There are plenty ways of killing someone or yourself without blowing up the house too.
Brad Delp, the guy who was the lead singer of the rock band Boston decided to off himself. So, he brought in the gas grills and started them up inside his house. Made himself a strong drink, fell asleep and never woke up. Prior to starting the grills he left notes on the outside of the exterior doors to be careful entering because of Carbon monoxide. So that the first responders would not get injured.
And the neighbors thought he was a nice guy.
Just goes to show, you never really know your neighbor.
Happened on Tranquility Court. Ironic.
I was never ever frightened
By the murderer on our block
He nurtured orchids and raised hamsters
The neighborhood is still in shock
La, la, la, la, la....
What if it was a suicide-murder? That changes everything.
This one walked his dog and exchanged pleasantries with the neighbors. I wonder if his victim noticed any red flags...
