A 16-year-old Oklahoma girl who was allegedly shot in her sleep by her mother has died from her injuries, officials said. Kloee Toliver was wounded in the head Nov. 1 when her 39-year-old mother, Amy Hall, opened fire at their home in Nuyaka, about 35 miles southwest of Tulsa, according to Tulsa World. LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police on Thursday identified the man they say carried out a murder-suicide that took the life of an engineering professor at UCLA. The shooter was Mainak Sarkar, said Officer Jenny Houser, a city police spokeswoman. Sarkar is listed on a UCLA website as a member of a computational biomechanics research group run by the victim, a professor of biomechanical engineering.

Two 15-year-old female students were killed in Friday morning's shooting at Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona, police said. Each 10th-grader was found with one gunshot wound outside the building, near the school's cafeteria, Glendale police Officer Tracey Breeden said. A weapon was found near the bodies, Breeden said.
