Ping!.........................
I’m going to start my heirloom tomato seeds today. I’m a little behind for Zone 5.
Clothed or Nekkid? There are TWO ‘Gardening Days,’ ya know! ;)
Just like last year, I will be attempting to grow tomatoes, squash and bell peppers. This year, I’m going to also include a few flowering plants to attract bees. I need the bees to stop by and pollinate the vegetable blossoms.
I’ve tried spreading the pollen on my own in those big yellow flowers of the spaghetti squash, but the results, if any were somewhat underwhelming. This year will be different.
I need to get a couple sprouted onions and the mint back outside but that might be all. The possums got to everything the past couple years.
Sooo, I'm still a few weeks away from preppin' the gardens.
I sure do miss global warming....
Just picked up a four pack of habanero pepper plants this morning. Sowed 130 seeds into trays yesterday. I’m a month behind as usual. Need to get the beds ready over the next few days and finish the high tunnel over the next few months.
It's April so everything is in bloom right now in So Cal - including everyone's allergies!
