Russia targets Black Sea port hours after maritime ceasefire announced

Russia launched an overnight drone strike against the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Mykolaiv, just hours after the US announced that Moscow and Kyiv had agreed to a maritime ceasefire, authorities said.

The mayor of Mykolaiv said on Wednesday morning that the city was experiencing emergency power outages.

Meanwhile, the region's governor confirmed that the Ukrainian military had destroyed seven Russian drones in the region overnight.

Although Moscow and Kyiv agreed to a Black Sea ceasefire after three days of separate talks with US officials in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, questions remain about its implementation.

Speaking on Tuesday, Zelenskyy said the agreement would go into effect immediately. However, the Kremlin released a statement saying that it would only meet the terms of the deal once some Western sanctions had been lifted.

Russia said sanctions against organisations like the Russian Agricultural Bank would have to end, and their access to the SWIFT system of international payments would have to be restored.

The Ukrainian president disagreed that this was part of the agreement.

“There are absolutely clear statements that have been published by the White House, everyone can see what is stated there," he said.

“And there is something that the Kremlin is lying about again: that supposedly the (ceasefire) in the Black Sea depends on the issue of sanctions.”

It is an open forum and I would never agree with some moron douchebag’s demand for a safe space. Hippies invented the idea of safe spaces and cannot give them up. Sad.

Exactly like he original grain deal. We were supposed to let the Russian agricultural bank have access to SWIFT again and have their sanctions lifted. We reneged on that and it fell apart after they gave us a year to do it.

Every time there is progress on a cease fire , the Ukraine and the EU try to undermine any progress in the peace process by demanding that Russia withdraw to the Russian border which is never going to happen.

The Ukraine and Russia both got suckered into war fomented by the DC Uniparty and the EU globalist party of Davos to weaken Russia, to depopulate the Ukraine and reduce it to ashes so foreigner interests could buy up post war control of the Ukraine for fractions of a penny on the dollar and then flood the depopulated Ukraine with 8 million third world Muslims from countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey and Algeria

The military conflict with Russia is the least of the Ukraine's worries.

The war Trump is fighting right now is the war to keep Ukraine's post war sovereignty intact and to prevent the Party of Davos carpetbaggers from looting post war Ukraine and flooding the country with the same third world Muslim "refugee" invaders that they have flooded the rest of the EU and Scandinavia with.

The Trump Peace Plan is nothing less than a plan to allow the Ukrainians the economic and political support to allow them to rebuild their own country and keep their ownership of it's resources and assets.

Those that oppose it are the ones waiting like vultures to sweep in and loot the Ukraine and turn it's people into modern day serfs living un their new their world Islamic overlords.

After three decades of suffering and poverty after the fall of the Soviet Union and four years of destruction and death from a foreign engineered and financed war just when both the Ukraine and Russia were finally turning the corner towards recovering , it would be a shame to see the Ukraine looted and it's way of life destroyed by the same demographic replacement that we have seen in the US , the EU and Scandinavia.

The military defeat of the Ukraine by Russia has been a done deal for going on two years. There is still time to save post war Ukraine from a catastrophic fate.

I would be careful with all these casualty reports.

Based on “credible” reports, i.e. NATO and US DOD internal figure they think the true rate far less advantageous.

Most reports are inflated and speculative and based on our internal and probably more accurate reports, the casualty ratio was more like 2:1: https://www.newsweek.com/2023/05/05/read-leaked-secret-intelligence-documents-ukraine-vladimir-putin-1794656.html

BUT!!! That was including the beginning of the war where Russia was in disarray. It was when some of our gee-wiz high tech toys were more effective and Russia hadn’t countered them yet. And it was before a failed and costly Ukrainian counter offensive in 2023.

If I were betting money, I would guess that the true casualty ratio today is substantially under 2:1.

No doubt the rate is better for Russia today than when it began, but the early years were easily 4 to 1, and its taken Russia a lot of Merc’s and hired armies to make up for its own deficiencies.

As I have stated since day one, this is and always was Russia’s war to lose. They have always had a huge numerical advantage. Yet they have engaged this war, either through incompetence or just bad strategy, such that they have been reduced to WWI style trench warfare by an adversary a fraction of their might.

You also forget to mention that the neocons never want to win a war. They just want to drag it on forever for the money.

Dude,

Read the damn US report from our own DOD. Link was provided.

It was never 4:1. Never.

Even in the beginning it was about 2:1 (it’s it’s best for Ukraine and worst for Russia).

BUT, since then the Ukraine decided to burn up a lot of folks in a failed 2023 counter offensive. Some of our weapon systems that were highly effective have lost their impact as Russia has countered them. And finally the chaos and disarray of the Russian forces early on isn’t the case anymore.

The trend is that since the beginning, most likely, the casualty ratio of 2:1 has decreased even further. How much, who knows, our government likes to keep us dumb so they can do what they like without us thinking on our own.

Reports are coming out of Ukrainians shooting their own troops as they surrender.
Some reports are actual on the spot videos.
Others are interrogated pows-which i consider propaganda but, nonetheless.

Good for morale that aint it?

BTW, reports are the Ukrainian foreign legion mercenaries are mostly being shot on the spot. They make a big deal of that Brit who was lucky enough to be taken alive. He wont last long in a Russian prison AND, the Russians dont have to negotiate with anyone for his release.

Historically, its not unlike the final stages of the second world war in Nazi Germany.

The Ukraine might be a fraction of Russia's might but all of the EU and America are not. Russia fought and won a war against 850 million people (EUSSR and USA). Not too shabby.

Deep Six every Russian war ship in the Black Sea.

Then tell Putin that it would not be good to break any agreed cease fire again.
