In a recording recently released by Billie Sol Estes’ grandson Shane Stevens, it is claimed that LBJ orchestrated a series of murders, including the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, to consolidate his political power. These claims are based on never-before heard audio of Clifton Carter, the former Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee and close associate of LBJ, admitting that LBJ hired Mac Wallace to assassinate JFK.

LBJ was one of the suspects.
Lots of comments about the tape here.

Qui Bono ?
The overly ambitious vice president
or the scorned wife?
It is amusing that folks who have been working this topic for years want to pick one suspect and say they are responsible—when in the real world it takes alliances with common interests to pull off something like this and get away with it.
Everyone sure marched in a straight line when it was time to cover it up—they all acted like they were guilty.
Hoover would have loved that kind of leverage, methinks.
I have a feeling (just a feeling) LBJ was told about the upcoming hit but did not order it. That makes him an accomplice, of course, as with all murders.
Sadly, the story I used to use for a link to LBJ was said by several people to be untrue:
LBJ was humiliated and set aside as an ignorant country bumpkin by the elite RFK and other Harvard type top drawer insiders.
LBJ was said to have told someone: “Don’t worry. As of tomorrow afternoon all my troubles about that are going to be over.” Said day before the hit. But apparently didn’t happen.
LBJ did have plans set up of what furniture and memorabilia to have movers get out quickly, including the JFK rocking chair to be put in a back hall and carted away.
There was a traveling exhibit of JFK memorabilia I saw in Fall, 1964 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. A lot of the White House stuff was on tour.
And anyone can still go to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI and see the actual death car. LBJ ordered it stripped of interior blood stained material and refurbished.
I’ve tried to feel the New Age vibes off it from a foot away but haven’t felt any. It is creepy to think about it, though.
This is Rashida Tlaib’s district, too, for another “thrill.”
One little tidbit worth mentioning is that Hoover and LBJ were good friends who had worked together when LBJ was in Congress.
Meanwhile Hoover and the Kennedys hated each other.
I am not sure of Hoover’s role before the fact but I am confident he would have been happy to cooperate with anything the coup plotters wanted or needed as well as playing a key part in the coverup after the fact.
Doesn't mean he didn't use the CIA and the Mob to get it done. LBJ was probably the most connected and ruthless politician to ever gain the office of president. His personal history reads like a psychopath. And one the Kennedys went out of their way to treat like s***.
.
"It is believed". What does that mean? Is there evidence or not? Where is this claim made?
“Who’s Mac Wallace?”
He led the fight for Scottish independent .
Movie about him called bravehrart
Then why didn't he run again if he did this for gain?
I am comfortable saying the assassination could not have happened without LBJ’s active participation.
What is less clear are the details—many of those are in dispute.
I am also convinced he could not have pulled it off without active alliances with the CIA (including former CIA folks) and the FBI at a minimum.
The mob and Mossad may have been icing on the cake.
We are still missing a lot of key pieces.
I wonder of GROK or some AI could ‘read’ the 80000 pages of the report and give an almost instant synopsis?
Great question.
The answer is that JFK was about to dump LBJ from the ticket and was investigating him for a bunch of felonies involving Bobby Baker.

If you notice all of the key players did not just have something to gain by the assassination of JFK.
They all had a lot to lose if JFK was around for much longer.
It means that there is a lot of evidence for it, but I haven't thought about the subject for several years, and don't feel like going off and researching it all again so that I don't say something in summarizing the evidence that gets me ridiculed.
The evidence on the shootings is a hot mess with horrible chain of custody issues.
The FBI made sure of that.
Exactly what do you believe about the Kennedy assassination? You just seem to be throwing out theory after theory. You're all over the map on this.
"Baker, however, was convicted of tax evasion and spent 18 months in prison." - Wiki
So Baker was involved with the assassination to hid his 'criminal wrong doings' and he still went to jail?
"They all had a lot to lose"
Involving yourself in assassinating the President seems like a lot more to lose than just getting caught in shady business deals.
18 months in prison for business fraud vs. execution for treason.
Nah, that was Mel Gibson…
