Despite a razor-thin 217-215 House vote Tuesday, GOP senators indicated Wednesday they would not accept Speaker Mike Johnson’s fiscal framework as-is — heralding a rough road for President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda on Capitol Hill.

All major bills get massaged before they pass.
This is what we USED to do!
Two separate bodies have different bills and disagreements.
So they go to conference, battle it out, resolve differences and come up with one bill that both houses them pass.
This is called legislating, and it takes work, and votes.
But the Washington crowd has gotten so used to continuing resolutions (i.e. no budgets) then voting once, that they don’t know what to do with regular legislative order.
GO TO CONFERENCE!

The Divas are about to torpedo another Republican effort. Seems to me illegals and perpetual non employed have saturated Medicaid and to some extent Medicare and if able made to work for “free” medical coverage or just removed if illegal.

You saw a little bit of wrestling between both chambers happening.
But in the end, I think they will have a meeting of minds.
