54-year-old Ohio veteran denied heart transplant over refusal to take the COVID vaccine

An Ohio veteran has claimed he was denied a heart transplant because he refused to take a COVID vaccine.

Ken Long, 54, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure nearly a year ago, after he became ill on a family vacation to Texas, his wife, Christina, told Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom.

He was eventually sent to The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati for a heart transplant and was set to receive 'the next heart that came in so long as his body was otherwise healthy,' she said.

When the tests came back showing 'he was in perfect health other than a very sick heart,' it became to sign consent forms, and hospital staff told the family he would have to get a COVID vaccine.

But Ken immediately refused to take the jab.

'When I decide something, I mean it and if it takes dying, it's what it is,' he told WRKC.

'They don't know enough about it and plus it's already done a lot of damage - people have said blood clots. There are known cardiac issues an d our personal religious rights.'

Initially, Christina said she disagreed with her husband's decision.

'To be told he was so sick and possibly not going to live and that they were not going to give him a transplant due to his personal choice and religious beliefs, based on a vaccine, it was just absolutely mind-blowing,' Christina told the advocacy group.

'So then you go into fight-or-flight mode,' she said. 'I mean you're a mess, you're turned upside down, nothing makes sense, you don't trust anybody, you're afraid to say what you feel or think because you're going to be judged for it.

Sure can. IVM. aka, Ivermectin”

Well, actually, IVM does have side effects.

and so does HCQ:

Try again?

Is this crap still going on? And they wonder why we don’t trust doctor’s anymore?

The article includes the hospital’s rationale for denying the heart transplant. Basically, anyone who has a heart transplant will be immunocompromised for the rest of their life and they believe the vaccine is necessary to ensure that the patient remains healthy after the transplant.

This guy might not agree that the vaccine is efficacious. But the hospital does and I think he’s foolish for rejecting it given the totality of his situation.

Also, his wife said that he was going to be signed up for “the next heart” that became available. This doesn’t sound right to me. I was visiting a friend yesterday who is in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. I listened to the nurse explain that a heart had to be matched to the patient. In other words, a 6’5” man weighing 250 lb would not be a suitable match for a heart from a 20-year-old 90 lb woman. At least that’s the example she gave.

Thanks for reading the arcticle for me! (How embarrassing!). And yeah, thinking about it a bit, I think I’d agree.

Covid jabs were not mandated. Which is all I wanted. FBI did not raid your house at dawn if you skipped the jabs.
Everybody was free to quit their job if employer required jabs. Freedom from medical mandates is all I want.

Read my post again if you could not understand my point. It was not complicated. I am sure your English comprehension is good.

I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt—and a chance to reconsider.

Facts can’t be changed. Nothing to reconsider.
Fact is more than 265 million Americans were jabbed. Most are alive and well. Many people with comorbidities should never have taken the jabs. The jabs had side effects. I had some as well. But I am in great health with daily exercise.
My mother-in-law was in nursing home and very old and feeble. She survived covid with isolation and skipped the jabs.

I am related to someone who saw a doc that refused a surgery with risk because the doc wouldn’t risk his own reputation.

Probably for the best. You don't want a doctor that lacks confidence and only wants the easy cases.

Jabs helped me avoid getting infected, even after 6 cruises every year. I could not board the ships without proof of full vaccination. Life is wonderful.

There is strong evidence that there was never a “pandemic” of a novel, deadly, spreading virus.

There is however lots of evidence that deadly protocols incentivized and enforced on hospitals lead to the spike in deaths to create the illusion of a pandemic. So, as long as you stayed out of the hospital, it is not surprising that the “virus” didn’t get you.

As to the jabs, they killed many, but probably far fewer than they would have if they didn’t tone it down (and make it cheaper) by using the actual material in probably at least half the jabs. So, it is not surprising that the jabs didn’t get you either.

That doesn’t mean that they should possibly have been unleashed on anyone.

Not only the cruises were so much fun, but ships were half empty because only jabbed people could enjoy the cruise and prices were discounted to half. Staff gave us extra pampering. Now cruise prices have sky rocketed back up and ships are full. After 4 years, no one my family has suffered any adverse effects from the jabs.

That’s good, but you do realize that millions have been killed by it, no?

I agree. For healthy people even the initial stronger version of covid was not fatal. All in all, I am happy FBI did not raid anyone’s house for skipping the jabs.

Current versions of covid are no worse than mild flu. I do not need to jab any boosters.

Miraculously the “flu” disappeared while all colds and flus were conveniently rebranded as “Covid” as well. It was all a scam.

And I’m glad you’re healthy and staying away from the jabs.
