My latest LEDs are far outlasting any old incandescent bulbs. I’ve had a front porch LED bulb on 24/7/365 for some years now. Could never do that with any old incandescent.
On longevity, the price of the LEDs is a good ROI.

In the long run...it’s all about choice.
To me, the point is that the Founders never intended that DC should specify the light bulb I want to use or how much water my showerhead uses.
Anyway, if he isn’t successful at stopping the green crap, a lightbulb may be our only source of heat!
Pro: LED last longer, cheaper in long run (?)
Con: blinking or flashing annoying

LED is OK if you are willing to find and pay for the (almost) full spectrum ones with a CRI of at least 95. That’s all I will use.
If you’re buying the lowest cost LED you are getting a CRI of about 80.
But incandescents are CRI of 100 like natural light.

I think Trump has just reverted to plastic straws for federal purchase; I don’t know what he can do to the states and cities that have banned them (?)

We bought 10 years worth of incandescent bulbs about 10 years ago. Good timing!
That is why I stashed up on them before the ban when GW forced us to start buying mercury filled CFL bulbs. Unfortunately, the incandescent bulbs that they were selling just before they were banned were mostly poor-quality imports. I have cases of them, and they typically do not last for very long. Even the later 130-volt long life bulbs which put out less light, tend have fairly poor life.
I have a few really old bulbs that have been working for many years. But they were all designed to burn out after a certain period of time to force people to buy new ones. Light bulbs were one of the first examples of planned obsolescence. Now even TVs are designed to fail after a few years.
My supply of collectors series incandescent bulbs just lost a lot of value.
