This morning, President Trump revealed he's rolling back efficiency standards on plumbing and light bulbs. You may feel like the lightbulb has been through a roller coaster of regulation changes ... and you're right.

Unsure this really matters much. At least not to me. I like the LED light bulbs.
This is the reason I voted for him.
LED lights last longer and can be selected for color.
Not a good look to require them, but they are fundamentally superior so this is all a shrug.

Well I do also inside my house but an old incandescent bulb in the well house helps keep it from freezing up in the winter or maybe in the garage where I put the dogs at night when it is freezing. There are uses.

This is fantastic. LED lights and Curley Q mercury lights will not work under a vacuum unless the power source is outside the vacuum.
I’d be perfectly happy with LED lights which aren’t Chinese made crap.
There is absolutely know way we can EVER know if any of these dumb a** solutions change the climate or even keep it in check.

I prefer LED as well, but there is a market for incandescent.
Govt shouldn’t be dictating either.
I have a couple old, wonderful touch lamps that use incandescent bulbs.

I like them too. Now that they’ve pretty much got a much better range of color temperature (tint/tinge, etc.) they’re much more economical and long lasting. They’re also safer. I use LEDs all over my house - even every lightbulb I can get at on my car .
I’ve had more issues with LED bulbs than incandescents:
Color: Varied even within the same brand and model.
Life: I’ve yet to have one last the rated time, and too many begin to fail far too early.
Reliability: Too many are over-driven on their circuits and flicker uncontrollably.
I love my LED flashlights, headlamps and weapon lights, but the LED replacement bulbs are problematic.
Bring back R12
