As we step into the winter months, it’s time to consider your heating options. Whether your home is warmed with electric heat or a gas furnace, you want to know your family will be comfortable when the temperature drops.
Understanding your heating options, like electrification or a hybrid system, supports a comfortable home and manageable energy bill. To help you decide the best way to heat your home, we’ll explain the differences between electric and gas heat, and give a brief introduction to the hybrid dual fuel system.

What is the liberals hatred of natural gas?
CO2
Gas.
Liberals call it a fossil fuel.
I guess there were dinosaurs on Titan at one time.
CO2 is a plant growth stimulant. The idea that WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE! because of CO2 emission is absurd, not supported by anything resembling real science.
I miss radiators. I grew up in an apartment where the whole complex was heated with coal through hot water radiators.
It was the most comfortable and consistent heating I’ve ever known.
As long as you have dehumidifiers.
You emit C02 when you breathe.
The house I grew up in had four story heat with radiators and you were either getting toasted or froze out depending on your proximity. I’ve heard the new floor radiation heat is the most comfortable & consistent.

Our ‘dehumidifier’ back then was a pan of water on top of the radiator.
“You emit C02 when you breathe.”
Plants, also, emit CO2 when they breathe.

That is a humidifier.
If that standard heater is natural gas, then cool temps above the threshold give you the option to choose between heat or nat gas to heat your home. If power rates are cheaper, heat your home with the heat pump. If nat gas rates are cheaper, heat your home with the nat gas furnace. Thus you have some flexibility if the temps are in the threshold of being cool enough to run the heat, but not too cold for the heat pump.
That's how I've advised family members in northern climates who are getting old enough to need air conditioning in the summer. That's not how I do things with the usually warm Alabama climate, a variable speed heat pump, lots of incoming solar power, and, thus, an electric furnace that runs when the temps are too cold for the heat pump. But if I didn't have a significant amount of free power from solar, I'd probably prefer a nat gas furnace for when it gets too cold for the heat pump.
Natural Gas is great. Best Heaters, Best Gas Grills, Best Dryers, and Best Water Heaters.
I probably spend less than a 3rd on my Gas Bill vs. comparable Electric.
And as a bonus when bad weather strikes, I still have Natural Gas and a fairly small generator can run my furnace.
“You emit C02 when you breathe.”
That’s because we are powered by fossil fuel.
I worked one day as a substitute in a building that had the heating system in the floor; it was a really cold day, and that heat was very nice.
LOL! In post 13 you correct 11 on humidifier vs dehumidifier, yet in post 12 you incorrectly say that plants emit CO2 (hint, they take in CO2 and emit O2 LOL).
“Our ‘dehumidifier’ back then was a pan of water on top of the radiator.”
Wouldn’t that be a humidifier?
I'm not yet a fossil; but, I produce copious amounts of it.
