On January 31, 2025, a tragic air ambulance crash in Philadelphia claimed the lives of all six people on board. As investigators work to determine what went wrong, eyewitness videos have surfaced, capturing the aircraft’s final moments before impact.
In this video, Captain Steeeve carefully analyzes these crash videos alongside air traffic control (ATC) audio to understand the Learjet’s movements, possible mechanical issues, and pilot responses. By breaking down the footage, we aim to provide an idea of what happened in those critical final seconds.
Special thanks to our friends over at VASAviation for getting the audio from ATC so quickly. Their work is important to aviation, please go and support them

First question: what was it? Airplane? Or something else…
Probably hit a drone.
From the doorbell video, it looked to me like it was on fire while it was falling.
bet that the CVR is a joy to listen too...yeesh.
The landing lights were on. NO fire.
Same impression.
Videos that I’ve seen suggest some kind of explosion and aircraft going down on fire.
Collision of some sort. Drone perhaps.
Another possibility that I’ve not heard mentioned is an on board explosion or fire.
It was an air ambulance. Possible oxygen leak related fire-explosion?
The pilots didn’t loose control, they were incapacitated by something,,,,maybe an auxiliary patient Oxy tank ruptured which would explain the fiery explosion midair. It would have incapacitated the crew.
Could have sucked a flock of geese.
It’s not Trump’s style to leave stuff hanging. We’ll know once they have a good idea what went wrong.
Trump's fault for deporting the Haitians that would have eaten them.
After that, the aircraft continued to accelerate and climb.
Except for silence from the cockpit, the climb and speed appear to be normal.
The Lear Jet is designed to go fast and at high altitude.
At or very soon after 23:06:52 Zulu (247 mph), the jet either lost power, or somebody reduced power, or something reduced power.
Could be, the left engine was not running great, even before 23:06:52 Zulu, and then it "choked?"
That makes sense. Clearly the plane was knocked out of the sky by something.
On that video, something seems to have caught the people’s attention before the sound of the crash into the ground.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum issued a statement following...fatal plane crash:
“I regret the death of six Mexicans in the plane crash in Philadelphia, United States,” she wrote on social platform X, according to translation. “The consular authorities are in permanent contact with the families; I have asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support them in whatever way is required.”
A cartel involved?
Engine explosion, perhaps a fan broke as it was pushed to high speed on takeoff, throwing pieces all over the plane and igniting the oxygen bottles. The plane went down really quick and fast, looks like maybe one engine was still working.
I’m guessing they lost a control surface. If the horizontal stabilizer broke free of its actuator, a high speed, high angle descent of this type could occur.
I’m going with sudden catastrophic engine failure as the cause.
Alex Jones wonders?
