How come no one beats down these climate clowns? There is nothing wrong with them, that a sound trashing will not cure.

The Teslaactually runs on a mix of natural gas, coal and nuclear energy transferred with a small loss of power through to the generators that convert it through a small loss of power to electricity.

“How come no one beats down these climate clowns? There is nothing wrong with them, that a sound trashing will not cure.”

The state reserves violence to itself as it’s right. If you take the right of the state by, say, defending yourself or your property, the state uses its right of violence against you. To make certain anyone else who might usurp the right of the state doesn’t get any funny ideas. Several years ago (I think it was Neil Armstrong) was assaulted by a the-moon-landing-was-faked nut case. Neil decked the guy, and the nut case wanted the police to arrest Neil. The police wouldn’t do it. That’s because Neil was famous. But if it was you or me, we’d have spent about $10,000 defending ourselves in court for defending ourselves with violence. It was different forty years ago, but that was before the hippies ran everything.

I get the sense that things are changing. The insanity of the left was dramatic overreach that brought us a Trump presidency. Hopefully, he’ll make the best of it for us.

You’d be prosecuted and be vilified in this country.

There are a few cases of people tired of this crap that do something, last year there was I believe an American expat down in South America who pulled a 1911 clone on a couple of similarly minded protesters and cancelled their life subscriptions.

Except it's no "small loss." In contemporary thermal power plants, about two-thirds of the energy that goes into them is lost in conversion. And then the electric vehicle itself loses an additional 15% in conversion, resulting in a total energy loss of about 80%.

Whereas a car with an internal combustion engine has a total energy conversion loss ranging from 60% to 75%, making them a more green than electric vehicles.

And the electric car requires quite a bit of infrastructure, or you could call it overhead, to run. This seems to be something the greens ignores.

A totally new definition of the truck genre designed from scratch to provide utility and usefulness lacking in generation after generation of "pickups"

Yes, you have to excavate about 500,000 pounds of rock to create one lithium EV battery.

This sounds like a Monty Python skit.

“You pour the paint on an electric truck? You know they don’t use oil?”

” well the tires are oil!”

” so tomorrow you’re going after bicycles.”

”Good idea”.

Well to be fair, you usually require oil, or coal, or nukes (gasp) to charge up these electrical vehicles.
These Luddites want people to adopt the Flintstone vehicle mode of transportation.

As an automobile enthusiast for almost 60 years, I have to admit that the “truck” is a very well designed expression of a certain character. It’s not at all to my taste, looking sterile, hard, and ungainly. As an electric, it also fails on the practicality scale, a deal-killer for any kind of actual truck. That all said, I kinda like seeing them around every now and then, if only as an example of something completely out of the ordinary.
