I will never understand the Brits fascination with baked beans.

It's a slow news day, have fun.

I’ve heard people yammer about a big Irish breakfast, but never heard anything about English breakfast. Looks pretty mundane stuff.

Baked beans were introduced into the British breakfast diet as a result of a 1927 ad campaign by the Heinz corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Big Bean”) - so we are to blame. Why the Brits drink leaves suffused by hot water is a bit if a mystery...

The Brits were once a great people with a great civilization and a great empire. Success caused their descent into rabid Marxified atheists, rampaging pederasts, and gullible globalists.

nasty. And the dude’s hair was dragging in the food when he leaned over his plate. The U.S. has THE best food on the planet; one exception may be Italy. Even the dishes that originate from a foreign land are better here.

WE have Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Thai, Indian, and Korean restaurants, and even an Irish one.

Why are there no British restaurants?..............

When my sweetie & I visited London some years ago we were quite surprised by the baked beans & tomato as ‘breakfast food.’ But it was fine.

The Brits’ baked beans, mixed with the over-easy egg chopped up, are quite good, IMO.

The banger is tasteless. IMO. If coated with enough baked bean sauce, it’s tolerable.

And give me double toast, hold the fried bread.

I miss those many UK breakfasts I had through working there. Not a great place for food but the breakfasts were spot on.

Beans on toast have been a British breakfast thing since “forever.”

Steak & eggs, OJ, coffee with a pinch of salt.
Pasties are not bad.

I had a full English breakfast when I was in London for a conference. It was good, but not available here in the US.

I love a good Full English Breakfast! Better be hungry if you expect to finish it.

There is a theory that the reason that the Brits conquered so much of the world was because they were just looking for something good to eat for dinner.

There is a reason that the most common restaurant in London is Indian. Most of the patrons aren’t Indian.

If it doesn’t have roasted kidneys, it isn’t a full English breakfast.

I found that out the hard way one time…I thought they were mushrooms.

DallasBiff - So what was the flippin detail that startled the Brits??????

You didn’t include that information in the excerpt or your comment, and I couldn’t read most of the article because of all the pop-up ads.

Talk about click-bait.....
