WE have Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Thai, Indian, and Korean restaurants, and even an Irish one.
Why are there no British restaurants?..............

They're out there.
They're called, "Pubs."

Why are there no British restaurants?.............. Well, there are the Americanized fish and chips places which I've found to be consistently pretty good. A lot of times I like the fish with the British malt vinegar instead of tartar sauce.
When I lived in England, I found the local fish and chips shops to be wildly inconsistent. Sometimes they'd be the best fish I ever ate and then the next time downright nasty. I'm not sure, but it may have been the type of fish that was available to the shop on a particular day.

They are around. I know of 5 off the top of my head around San Jose and San Fransicko in CA. 3 are a chain, the other two are individual ones.

Heaven is where the cooks are French, the policemen are English, the mechanics are German, the lovers are Italian and the bankers are Swiss.

I recall a very good one in DC many years ago; I think it was run by two German ladies :-)

If you ever tasted British food, or seen British women….you’ll know why they built a navy and sailed away, and then made it the world’s strongest to defend their ability to not go home.

There are.
Where we used to live there was a British restaurant where we would go for Sunday Brunch and the occasional festive dinner.
Delicious.
None in our current area through. Gives me a sad.
