When you look at the breadth of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, it’s impossible to pin Democratic losses on just one or two things. This is not a situation where the outcome would have been different if President Biden had done X or Vice President Kamala Harris had done Y.
In fact, had both Biden and Harris done everything “right,” Trump likely still would have won. The culprit for the Democratic Party’s sweeping losses is bigger than any one particular candidate.
In 2016, I left the Republican Party and became a Democrat. In many ways, I feel as if the GOP left me rather than the other way around.
But over the eight years since, I’ve often observed that Democrats approach elections — and communicating with voters — through a lens of how they think the world should be, rather than meeting them in the world as it actually is.

They are neither.
Well…being right is kinda up there
Relatable? Impossible.
The Demonicrats are the antithesis of being right. and Demonicrats are only relatable to the demon-possessed and to traitors.
They never will be...for they SEE THEMSELVES as the SAVIORS of “democracy and freedom”.
What have they been “right” about?
You beat me to it. The little rats at The Hill are just clueless.
"How they think the world should be" is no where near "right".
“We were right but no one believed it”
They lied to us constantly and without remorse. They were never right.
Try being relatable and right, like Trump.
It is more likely to have blown up in his head. The Crap Hill is a worthless leftist rag, unfit for the birdcage. Logic, common sense, are foreign words.
Naturally BM said Trump was crazy, the people in the red hats don't understand the Latin phrase "a priori", and just generally barely masked his contempt for all Trump supporters, while paying some lip service to an idea that he also made fun of -- don't say the quiet part out loud. He remains a partisan POS with a couple of common sense views. Anyway, around the 5 minute mark, right after his red hats remark, he got to what a good many people will agree with:Bill Maher Says Dems Learned Nothing from the Big Loss [11/16/2024]"Democrats have become like a royal family that, because of so much incest, has unfortunately had children who are retarded. And the same thing can happen to ideas if they are also conceived in an atmosphere of intellectual incest. Maybe take the clothespin off your noses and actually converse with the other half of the country. Stop screaming at people to get with the program and instead make a program worth getting with. [applause] What good is liberalism if you don't win elections?"
In a well-ordered society, the productive adult grunts should be the voting majority.
“We must learn to act like these odd people so they buy our crap”
I have never encountered a Democrat politician (Other than RFK Jr.) that cared about being right or relatable.
They have always appealed to negative emotions; fear, envy and hatred.
They don’t care about “reality” — they just want “power”.
It’s hard to relate to these people who want to shove global warming, illegal aliens, and all this transsexuals stuff down our throats.
You owe me a keyboard.
