Vice President Kamala Harris’ failed presidential bid has political strategists second guessing many of her campaign choices, including her selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.
"The choice of Walz was only one of many disastrous mistakes but symptomatic of one larger problem — the Democratic Party leadership is too scared to say no to the hard-left progressive wing of the party," Julian Epstein, longtime Democratic operative and former chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News Digital.
"This hard left opposes commonsense solutions that [Pennsylvania] Gov. [Josh] Shapiro supports — charter schools, for example. Or defeating terrorists rather than aping their talking points and positions, which allow them to stay in power and rearm for the next genocidal attack," Epstein continued. "It’s the hard-left progressive wing that looks first to welfare and redistribution rather than economic growth, and to cultural extremism on migration and gender deeply out of touch with the American electorate. Walz was a really bad choice for sure, but their choice was part of a deeper problem."
Rob Bluey, president and executive editor of The Daily Signal, told Fox News Digital that Walz being added to the ticket was a significant error in judgment.
"Historically, vice presidents have little impact on a presidential candidate’s fate," Bluey said. "But in the case of Tim Walz, it proved to be a disastrous decision that doomed Kamala Harris from the moment she made it. Not only was Walz ill-prepared for the national spotlight and media scrutiny, but Harris passed over several better options. Given how little Americans knew about Harris or her policy positions, they were right to question her judgment on this big decision."
Harris faced scrutiny even from some in her own party over her decision to name Walz, who many view...

BS! What “policy positions”?! She didn’t decide on Walz. Obama and Soros did.
CSpan viewers are saying that blacks did not want a black woman with a Jewish husband in the WH
The choice was simple.
They needed a VP candidate dumber than Kamala.
There was no other option.
Her “policy positions” consisted of a bunch of white papers written by staffers that nobody ever read.
Kamala had no clue what they said.
She did not know what her “policy position” was on any significant or minor issue.
That sentence is worth reading twice—because it both crazy and true at the same time.
Agreed
The fact that Khumulah didn’t receive a single vote as the rat nominee might have had a wee bit to with it. When you step back and picture this it’s pure, unadulterated communism.
“CSpan viewers are saying that blacks did not want a black woman with a Jewish husband in the WH”
Would they have preferred an Indian woman with a Jewish husband?
Lol.
So, according to Dems - or at least one article-quoted Dem - we have the Far Right and the Hard Left. Didn’t we used to be called the Hard Right (as in unmoving)?
Would they have approved of a senile old man? It appears to be so given the backlash goerge clooney is getting for removing Biden.
Well phrased.
“Policy papers that she didn’t write, and never read, and could not understand.”
Kamala sucked as a candidate. Nothing would have saved her , even if she appointed Gov Sharpiro as her running mate. He’s the governor of Pa, not the other 6 battleground states Trump won in addition to PA. Pa wanted Trump and having its governor as a running mate was bot going to change that fact.
The campaign needed help with male voters so they brought Walz in, a mealy-mouthed angry old queen. Wait, what?
Other bad decisions...skipping the Al Smith dinner and sending a bizarre tape which wasn’t funny....skipping Rogan although maybe that one would have sunk her further. Regardless she was a bad candidate burdened with the Biden record. Game over.
I noted at the time that the selection of Harris and Waltz was a giant middle finger aimed our Republic by the Democrat/Communist Party ... as “in-your-face” as it gets. And what Democrat/Communists got in return was exactly what they deserved: Total rejection.
They had to pick Walz. Anybody else would’ve shown her up, and then people would rightly see she wasn’t all that…smart, coherent, strong…you name it. Walz the knucklehead putz creepy dude was the only one available for them to choose as a running mate for her.
Gov. Shapiro, however qualified, is Jewish and they could not anger that much of their coalition. It is that simple.
Name calling Trump and his supporters absolutely demonstrated a lack of policy direction.
Plus I think a lot of conservatives over the years have actually read Sal Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and understand the Democrat penchant for adopting Marxist tactics.
I still say if what remains of right thinking gems quit the party this nonsense would end.
