Lara Trump Touts big Changes to Election Process After Inauguration
MSN ^ | 11-7 | Giulia Carbonaro

While the details of this potential change to the U.S. electoral process are thin, the suggestion of the RNC co-chair seems to confirm many experts' fears that Donald Trump's return to the White House might significantly transform American democracy.

A "blanket federal election process" is likely referring to a desire to standardize procedures at the national level instead of letting every state choose its own process; this might include the homogenization of the deadlines for mail-in ballots, absentee ballots, and when votes are counted across the country.

Talking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday after her father-in-law's historic victory about how to make the election process more secure and transparent, Lara Trump said that with Donald Trump in office, a GOP majority in the Senate and potentially in the House as well, the Republican Party finally has a chance to address the issues "99 percent plus of Americans agree on." These include, according to Lara Trump and Hannity, proof of citizenship and voter IDs.

"We don't have a perfect system right now," she told Hannity. "We have to get through this system, we have to play the hand that we were dealt. You have election season now instead of election day, and a lot of nuance around the country that makes it very confusing and really concerning for a lot of people."

Not unconstitutional.

Supreme Court case Foster v. Love (1997):

[I]t is well settled that the Elections Clause grants Congress ‘the power to override state regulations’ by establishing uniform rules for federal elections, binding on the States. ‘The regulations made by Congress are paramount to those made by the State legislature; and if they conflict therewith, the latter so far as the conflict extends, ceases to be operative.

Fedzilla has no business funding State elections anyway. That needs to stop across the board. Fedzilla is too big and too powerful.

Fed.gov is a creature of the States. The States are not mere provinces of Fed.gov.

Depends on what they are meaning by standards.

Things like ID, mail-in, absentee etc. all seem quite reasonable.

States though should maintain their own primary systems etc.

Florida leads the way in how it’s done. we knew decisively who had won an hour after the polls closed.

RNC honcho Lara Trump said that Republicans finally have a chance to easily
address the voting issues Americans want including proof of citizenship and voter ID.

While it may be tempting, a national voting standard sounds like the kind of thing Democrats would do.

It does.

That could backfire big time.

Getting this standardization done at the federal level would be a monumental task - first to formulate the standard, get it passed into federal law and then to deal with years of litigation. I doubt it can be in place as settled law in time for the 2028 election, but it’s well worth doing.

2020 was a Federal, top-down election. You had agents of the Rats coordinate election fraud over the several swing states. They were acting from Washington, with the help of the DS.

You had the SCOTUS choke-chained (or willingly participating) to ignore obvious fraud.

You had Marc Elais working with the Federal Election Commission to steal the election and put Biden and Harris in, causing immeasurable damage.

There's a reason why elections are left to the states, according to the Constitution.

We need to go in the OPPOSITE direction, repealing the 17th Amendment, which allowed direct mob election of the Senators, which is in opposition to the spirit and letter of the Constitution's central concept of a bicameral house of legislators who would protect the state's rights. Imagine a Senate elected by the State Legislatures! No more nail-biting about America going down the tubes every two years. The State Legislatures are largely Republican and conservative, and close to the will of the people. Imagine all the American disasters that never would have happened had Senators been elected by the State Legislatures. Boggles the mind. Its a REPUBLIC, not a democracy.

Uproot Wilson, Progressivism, Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, and toss it in the fire.

Quickest and best way is to repeal the 17th Amendment.

Citizens only.

One vote per.

Must we fight off Ranked Choice Voting, or other changes the ‘Rats dream up, indefinitely?

Like it or not, voting and elections appear in the US Constitution and in State Constitutions. This ought to mean something other than constant ‘Rat redefinition.

Hell, now we have to define what a Woman is for these ‘Rats.

A third of Cuyahoga County’s registered voters did not cast ballots. Why?
https://www.ideastream.org/government-politics/2024-11-06/a-third-of-cuyahoga-countys-registered-voters-did-not-cast-ballots-why

This is interesting from the standpoint that lines were hours long in many polling locations around the county. 33% didn’t cast votes? I have known for quite a while that this county was often the testing ground for stealing elections/votes. I suspect that 33% drop was the fraudulent votes that have ruined this county for decades.

Some standards that need to be met:

1. Must be a US citizen to vote.
2. Must have a government ID to vote (e.g., driver’s license, passport, military ID, state ID, etc.)
3. Only legal residents to the USA will be included in the census.
4. No ballots will be accepted and/or included in vote totals after election day.

My Federal law would be this -—
If the election involves voting for men who will be serving in Washington DC. Then this election must conform to Federal standards and laws.
I hope Republicans and Trump take immediate action on this, come January 21 2025. This is a once in a generation opportunity to kill off DemonRat cheating.

Agreed. Elections are run by the STATES. We don’t need central federal control.

“While it may be tempting, a national voting standard sounds like the kind of thing Democrats would do.”

True. A great many states have tightened election procedures on their own. If we federalize this, when the Dims retake congress and the presidency they could legislate no proof of citizenship nationwide and prohibit the cleaning up of voter rolls. I don’t like federalizing things. That’s the source of a lot of our problems now.

Maybe I’m one of the few Americans who thinks this is a terrible idea.

If there is a “national standard” for elections, then it is only a matter of time before federal courts force the whole process to be based on the loosest and most easily corrupted national standards for voter registration, voter eligibility, etc.

Congress passes the laws and the state administered the laws.

Well we have seen what the Democrats have implemented! You know like 16 million ghost voters! Taking a week to count ballots! 2am ballot drops! Machine failure after testing and certified!

So universal standards are not a bad thing.
