Lara Trump Touts big Changes to Election Process After Inauguration

While the details of this potential change to the U.S. electoral process are thin, the suggestion of the RNC co-chair seems to confirm many experts' fears that Donald Trump's return to the White House might significantly transform American democracy.

A "blanket federal election process" is likely referring to a desire to standardize procedures at the national level instead of letting every state choose its own process; this might include the homogenization of the deadlines for mail-in ballots, absentee ballots, and when votes are counted across the country.

Talking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday after her father-in-law's historic victory about how to make the election process more secure and transparent, Lara Trump said that with Donald Trump in office, a GOP majority in the Senate and potentially in the House as well, the Republican Party finally has a chance to address the issues "99 percent plus of Americans agree on." These include, according to Lara Trump and Hannity, proof of citizenship and voter IDs.

"We don't have a perfect system right now," she told Hannity. "We have to get through this system, we have to play the hand that we were dealt. You have election season now instead of election day, and a lot of nuance around the country that makes it very confusing and really concerning for a lot of people."

This would be awesome.

And politicians who oppose an honest election process should be lawfared severely.

Mandatory 10 years in prison for election fraud. A lot of states will turn red.

While it may be tempting, a national voting standard sounds like the kind of thing Democrats would do.

Minimum standards are not what Dems would do or they would have done it.

As RNC co-chairman, Lara was very vigorous in stopping Democrat cheating. She had lawyers lined up everywhere. She recruited election day observers.

DJT declared many times that inner city and other vote cheaters will be prosecuted. This ran off a lot of that scum.
Inner city aka black vote cheaters were the worst in 2020, in many DemonRat run cities. Trump lost a few swing states due to them heinous Rats!

Get rid of electronic voting machines.

Then the problem is solved for the most part because high tech is the ONLY way to steal a landslide.

National voting standards sounds like something unconstitutional. Elections are entirely the responsibility of the several State Legislatures. Fedzilla is already too big.

If we made conspiracy to commit voter fraud a capital crime and prosecuted it accordingly, we’d have a lot less voter fraud.

Doesn’t that go against the Constitution? Maybe you could do something like you did with the drinking age where you deny fed funding to states without election id laws or something. But I’m not sure if Feds taking over the election process aligns with what the constitution says.

I’ve been saying that for years. Locally...do what you want..but the Presidential Election is separate from all others and should have a strict format for all states.

Money is fungible.

All Uncle Sam has to say is if you want it, YOU pay for it.

Let’s see if states are willing to put their money where there mouths are.

And if conspiracy to commit voter fraud becomes a federal crime with the death penalty for anyone convicted of it...

Bet there will be a lot fewer people willing to do Deep State’s bidding because guess who will end up frying.

Just 10? I consider voter fraud to be akin to waging an attack on the country. I consider it capital.

A legit audit is something I could go along with, but it wold depend on the auditor. Another good idea on paper, but it would be a bear to put into practice.

Yeah since the 1960s the Dems have cheated. No wonder they are in hysterics thinking the US might finally join the rest of the world and have a clean quick election process. We are a joke to the rest of the world the way we are STILL counting votes today.

For context:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
