Tlaib spurns Harris endorsement at Detroit UAW rally

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), a member of the progressive faction in the House referred to as the “Squad,” refused to back Vice President Kamala Harris during a Michigan United Auto Workers rally just days ahead of the election.

With union workers forming a critical component of the Democratic base, Tlaib joined Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in rallying supporters in Detroit on Friday evening in a bid to shore up blue party support in the battleground state.

Yet while Jayapal and Ocasio-Cortez urged workers to vote for Harris, Tlaib never mentioned her name. Tlaib has been a vocal critic of the Biden-Harris administration’s support of Israel and its war with Hamas in Gaza. Tlaib’s sister, Layla Elabed, is the co-chair of Michigan’s pro-Palestinian “Uncommitted” movement, which in February staged a massive protest vote against President Joe Biden during the state’s Democratic primary. The group has declined to back Harris ahead of the election.

Following her sister’s move to spurn directly endorsing the vice president, Tlaib instead highlighted the importance of reelecting Democratic candidates down the ballot in the state. The Michigan Democrat particularly threw her weight behind Kimberly Thomas and Kyra Harris Bolden, both candidates for the state’s Supreme Court.

Horizontal not leftist enough for the DNC'S Hamas wing.

Probably leftist enough. Not vocally anti-Israel enough, though.

The Demagogic Party is a collection of violent rival street gangs.

Almost takes the fun out of watching the Rope-a-Dope the Trump campaign has been doing to them.

It was likely a lot easier for Biden to get this sort of support four years ago. Basically showing that Biden/Harris really disappointed many, even these sorts of people that you would not immediately consider ripe for picking for the Trump campaign.

I can’t imagine many UAW people being very happy with the green vehicle obsession that the Democrats have and this will likely affect the MI numbers for the Dems.

Correct. There are enough hard-left communists out there now that they can afford to hang together, but separate from the mainstream. No need to cooperate or compromise.

Although she doesn’t appear to have one, she could grow herself a mighty fine mustache.

How much Leftist Propaganda do Trump voters need to see from the Corrupt UAW before we all stop buying Vehicles made in UAW Plants.

Once this election is over MAGA needs to start a total boycott of anything made by a UAW worker.

With union workers forming a critical component of the Democratic base...

No longer. Rank and file union members support Trump, despite what their "leaders" endorse.

"One of America's most influential labour unions, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, has declined to issue a US presidential endorsement for the first time since 1996.

Polling of its rank-and-file members found "no definitive support" for either candidate, though two of its recent polls indicated lopsided support for Trump."

There is no limit to the lunacy and evil of democrats. Their policies led to the deaths of hundreds of millions of people. They don’t care. Theirs is a perpetual revolution requiring death and ever expanding power.

That’s very racist of her. I mean, one “woman of color” not supporting another “woman of color.”
