Green politicians from across Europe on Friday called on U.S. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein to withdraw from the race for the White House and endorse Democrat Kamala Harris instead.
“We are clear that Kamala Harris is the only candidate who can block Donald Trump and his anti-democratic, authoritarian policies from the White House,” Green parties from countries including Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Estonia, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Ukraine said in a statement, which was shared with POLITICO ahead of publication.

“Green”. Makes me cringe when I hear the word used by ignorant political hacks and pseudo-scientists with their ridiculous ideas. Nothing “green” about solar panels. Very toxic materials needed to make them and mining is not exactly “green”. Windmills - few people know each one of those huge turbines take on average 800 gallons of oil to lubricate moving parts. The oil needs to be changed periodically. Spills? You can be sure, and offshore is especially bad. They also need to be sprayed with antifreeze before a snowstorm. Lithium batteries? Try putting one out once it catches fire. And again mining in countries that could care less about the environment. Greenies stay out of our politics, and fix your own damn countries!
She could pull out and throw her support to Trump, citing the fact that environmentalist RFK will be in Trump’s cabinet.

Even if this were to happen, most of those people would simply not vote. I doubt it would help Harris.

Candidates have pulled out and remained on the ballot. In their withdrawal announcement, they might explicitly endorse another candidate, or not.
