Trump supporters camping outside MSG — some as early as 10am Saturday — in anticipation of mega MAGA rally: ‘It’s worth the wait’

Dozens of die-hard Trump supporters who couldn’t wait to see their candidate Sunday night at Madison Square Garden started camping outside the venue Saturday to make sure they snag a seat.

As many as 100 Trump backers were lined up in lawn chairs just after midnight Sunday outside the famous arena — and some of them came as early as 10 am Saturday to a spot along 33rd Street and Sixth Avenues.

“We love Trump,” Patty Vitala told the Post, “I love Trump and it’s cold out but it’s worth the wait. We want to make sure we get in.”

Patty, 57, and her friends got to the Garden at 3:30 p.m. They even rented a hotel room, but are electing to stay out on the street overnight.

“I was almost going to doze off. We do have a hotel room to go back to change but we’ll most likely be sitting out here for the night so we don’t lose our seats and make sure we get in.”

Barbara, 54, who works for a school district in Sussex, NJ, was the earliest of the early birds – arriving at 10 A.M. Saturday.

“I never expected to be first in line,” Barbara tells the Post. “I’ve never been to Madison Square Garden and I just thought this was going to be a magical event.”

When asked how she’s passed the time she said she’d been playing Words With Friends.

Scott Williams, 62, came in from Staten Island with his girlfriend and got to 33rd Street at 11 A.M.

“Well, I’ve never been to Madison Square Garden, so that’s nice,” Williams said, adding, “I’ve never voted in my life until this year.”

At a minimum, we’ll pick up a couple house seats...Then in 2026, Zeldin will become governor. Any suggestions for a Republican Mayor for NYC?

No...DT Jr likes to work behind the scenes.

I'm pondering.

They are winding around many streets in NYC.

The RATs getting seats there is not a problem. They can throw RATs out and replace them with a gigantic overflow.

How about Elise Stefanik? But need to make sure her seat goes to a Republican.

My cousin attended a Michigan rally a few days ago on her birthday and was in the bleachers behind DJT. She said the long, long wait time in line was more than worth it.

Stefanik is from upstate NY. Curtis Sliwa, Guardian Angels founder, is looking to replace Adams.
I listen to Sliwa on WABC and it amazes me how well he knows every borough of the city.

I was wondering what it meant my own self, but I remembered seeing a article about Trump scheduled to give a speech in New York's Madison Square Garden.

I think New Yorker's sometimes think that everyone knows NY neighborhoods too.

Yes, Stefanik is from upstate NY. Way upsate. She lived for a while in Willsboro which is almost to Plattsburgh. Her district is geographically huge - up to the Canadian border and almost over to Syracuse. She is one of the hardest working representatives and does much for her district.
