A McDonald’s supplier recalled yellow onions produced in a Colorado plant in response to a deadly E. coli outbreak at the fast food chain
Taylor Farms, which supplies onions to McDonald’s franchises that are the subject of a multi-state investigation by health authorities, said it was pulling products “out of an abundance of caution” and that it did not find traces of E. coli as of Wednesday.
The Food and Drug Administration has pointed to Taylor Farms onions as “a likely source of contamination” and has launched an investigation into the supplier, CNBC reported Thursday.
The Post has sought comment from Taylor Farms and McDonald’s.
US Foods Holding Corp, which also counts Taylor Farms as a client, told at least one restaurant that it scrapped its supply of onions, according to Bloomberg News.
“Taylor Farms Colorado removed yellow onions from the market produced out of our Colorado facility. We continue to work closely with FDA and CDC during this ongoing investigation,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

I guess the Democrats have sent McDonalds a message about cooperating with Trump.
Big Dem donors?
Yeah, this is very suspicious.
Not to worry, Americanos, we will deliver Montezuma’s revenge to you. No need for you to visit us.
Welp, there goes the vegans’ argument that beef was the source of the E. coli outbreak. It was a vegetable (onions).
There have been numerous E.coli outbreaks in the past but has the media gone this ga-ga over them?
Or is this all about Trump actually working at McDonald’s and Harris lying about working there?
From 2019, if that’s the same Taylor Farms...

When I went to TJ Mexico a couple of times in the early 70’s I stayed away from the ‘Tourista’ places and went to small, out of the way, restaurants. Never, ever got sick..............
Taylor Farms has good quality food.
We specifically seek them out.
Not any more..................🙄
Yep, it's from 2019 alright.
BINGO with them hand soap is something to write on windows with.
I’ve never eaten at Mcd’s but, don’t they cook the onions? They could hire their own employees to come in early and chop onions. I worked at Arctic Circle in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I got my job there going in at 4 am, peeling potatoes and making potatoes into fries. Me and another guy then blanched them in hot LARD, and then set them up for the freezer. We also cut up the chicken from whole fryers, and sliced onions, tomatoes and lettuce.
Assembly line food restaurants are the problem, not McDonalds alone.
It's weird. For a bit, I thought maybe it would be found to be because of lacking hygiene at one of our local McDs. 18 of the 28, including the one who died, are all from here in Mesa County. Would make sense. We have 2 just off the highway between Fruita and Clifton, CO.
Yes the press usually goes very ga-ga for them. Honestly it’s the only useful public service they have left, letting us know “don’t eat that, it has poo.”
Lol! That is one evil onion!
Worked at Krystal as a teenager in the early 70’s. We used dehydrated onions then re-hydrated them with water in gallon jugs...................
Fake
If it was the onions that did that Big Mac in, it would be same onions for all burgers.
I think it was the thousand Island dressing, which is the only unique thing about Big Mac
