In 2020, the United States did not have election night so much as election week. Factors including a slow count of mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania delayed declaring Joe Biden the winner until the Saturday after Election Day, giving then-President Donald Trump time to allege fraud — allegations that resulted in the Jan. 6, 2021, effort to overturn the results.
This year, some — but only some — of the thousands of people responsible for administering U.S. elections have learned the lessons of four years ago. Americans should prepare themselves for another difficult post-election period — even if it is unlikely to be as chaotic as 2020.
The U.S. Postal Service appears to be taking seriously concerns about mail reliability expressed last week by the National Association of Secretaries of State. The nonpartisan group warned that “lost or delayed election mail” risks disenfranchising voters. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy replied that training has been improved to expedite delivery of election-related material, and that in 2020 nearly 98 percent of ballots were returned to election officials within three days. All the same, voters should return ballots early — with plenty of time to spare — and give extra attention to every requirement. Many states allow voters to “cure” ballots missing critical information within a certain period of time.
Even if USPS excels, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin prohibit the counting of mail-in ballots until Election Day, no matter when they arrive. This slowed down the count in 2020. Divided governments in both states failed to fix this quirk in how they count. Arizona and Nevada have often taken multiple days to fully count, too. Elections officials say they’ve hired more workers to process ballots, but it will probably still take longer to tally...

I plan to be away.
Be patient ... while they find some more ballots.
Patience my ass.
Setting the stage for The Steal Part Two.
Deep Red counties should also be slow in counting too
To prevent the Dems from knowing how many ballot they need to “process”
I was born on election day in 1960. The morning after I was born, everyone knew that JFK had won. I guess the computers in 1960 were faster than they are today. Nowadays it takes days and days of counting in order to find out how many votes have to be manufactured on Weds and Thursday.
They will “find” “fabricate” “create” as many ballots as needed to win.
Voter Fraud will be working overtime.
The population tripled since then.
We’ve had 4 years to deal with it. If it’s not fixed I’d blame republicans.
Vote darkness coming.
Chaotic borders, chaotic elections. The most basic stuff doesn’t work.
My god they will do it again and there’s nothing we can do about it. If they can’t overcome with the cheat, they are going to burn it down and make Fedgov and the rest of the country frozen with their political terror and consider Trump invalid.
The WaPo says be patient.
Sure. It takes time to manufacture phony ballots if need be.
The population tripled since then.
Yeah, and computational speed is almost double.
Go back to sleep.
They shouldn’t release pre-results. That’s what makes all the stupid. Have the vote, aay nothing, do the count, get it done, and checked with ZERO announcements. Announce all the results the next Tuesday.
You’re ridiculous and wrong. Facts are confusing to you.
We’re used to it. Delay, delay the vote as the RATS keep counting their fraudulent ballots. Been there done that.
America really turned into a 3rd world banana republic pretty quickly.

An amazing record! Six lies in one sentence!
