A Colorado landlord has agreed to sell a troubled apartment complex that was taken over by the violent Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua.
Landlord Zev Baumgarten has been fighting with the Denver suburb of Aurora over the Aspen Grove after the city accused him of allowed it to become a trash-ridden, gang-infested hellhole, according to records obtained by the Denver Gazette.
Baumgarten is also the owner of another apartment complex where a viral video showed a crew of gun-toting thugs breaking into a unit, according to the Gazette.
Baumgarten’s company has now agreed to sell, lease, or find some “similar disposition” for the complex — which was shuttered in August, displacing some 300 residents, the Gazette reported.
His company Nome Partners LLC must also pay to clean up the site.
Baumgarten’s company blames a takeover by Tren de Aragua for the dismal state of Aspen Grove.
One investor told the Denver Post that police had known about the gang problem at Aspen Grove for nearly a year. The investor said the situation got so bad that staff abandoned the site, allowing trash to pile up and the building to go to ruin.

I thought Gov said it was just our imagination. All dems are LIARS
The ownership group has 3 complexes from what I’ve read and they’ve were in trouble with the city well before the gangs showed up. They set the stage for the gangs like ants, they found the sugar.
By now the copper wiring and plumbing have been stripped and the building in uninhabitable. Demolition is expensive and even the bare land is not worth much. It is in a bad area of town.
What happens if the City of Aurora takes ownership of the complex—citing the need for low-income housing?
So government does not provide services, then fines private owner for those problems which results from government lack of services…. What’s the difference between the gangs and government shake down?
The question is:
Were they in trouble with the city well before any excessive property taxes, tenant "rights" legislation or rent "control", and were crimes/criminals against the landlord and tenants solved, prosecuted, convicted and jailed?
Only then is government malfeasance not the cause of this disaster.
None.
That’s it. Democrats punish the victims to keep from admitting their lousy policies created the problem in the first place. The mayor? Liar. The Police Chief? Liar. The Governor? Liar.
Their police force? Cowards.
RE: A Colorado landlord has agreed to sell a troubled apartment complex that was taken over by the violent Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua.
And who’s the gullible fool who agrees to buy this property?
biden/harris are totally responsible for this.
They shouldn't be here to begin with, and the government hacks lied when stating that there isn't a gang problem. This is politicians looking for a scapegoat.
The liberal media has followed with this lie, as if Tren de Aragua does not exist despite the clear signs, like obediant robots. Its shameful.
Then Tren de Aragua gets to stay there forever.

09/03/2024 Aurora police react to alleged Venezuelan gang presence at apartments: 'Have not taken over'
In a video from a news conference posted to the department's official X account late Friday evening, Aurora Police Department interim Chief Heather Morris said "gang members have not taken over" the apartment complex.
"I’m not saying that there’s not gang members that don’t live in this community," she said. "But what we’re learning out here is that gang members have not taken over this complex."
His last name is probably "Soros", and the cops will show up as soon as the property changes ownership.
Sell it to whom? The gang-bangers? The government? God forbid!
