I’ve thought for some time now that there should be one daily thread where the zeepers can post their propaganda, sort of like what the Q posters have now. It should be either in Chat or maybe even the Smokey Backroom where it’s not clogging the Latest Posts feed. But they can only post Uke-Rus stuff on the designated thread and nowhere else, leaving the forum available for regular news, discussions, etc.

If it’ll make for more peace, perhaps there can be two threads: a thread for Ukraine propaganda and a thread for Russian propaganda.

Yes, the Ukraine-Russia threads are...ahem...interesting. I tend to lean in favor of Ukraine, because they were attacked. I can understand why some think that we should not be involved. I respect that, although I don’t completely agree with it. I don’t understand why some want Russia to win.

As far as external trolls, I think that may be overstated. I think that there are one or two on each side that I may be suspicious about, but have no definite evidence for it.

The possibility of external trolls is a reality. That perhaps became most obvious during the DeSantis-Trump threads when I eventually discovered that the anti-DeSantis poster backpacker_c was probably a Muslim from Indonesia. He disappeared after I made that known.

I get frustrated with those who strongly promote positions with which I disagree, but that’s life. I move on. What I find most problematic are those posters who are extremely profane and degenerate in their responses, JoeSixChip not being the only one, but he/she is definitely chief among them.

On the very first day Ukraine was attacked and Russia launched its war, the Russians shelled and attacked Snake island and communication was lost, the 13 border guards were presumed dead.

Two days later the Ukrainian Border Guard reported that they may have been captured alive, and then on the 4th day the Ukrainian Navy confirmed/reported that they had been captured alive.

In the first 2 days of a war that is pretty good intelligence and government reporting for an overrun island manned by 13 men.
