What recommendations would you like to suggest to the Trump campaign? Any political movement probably has to be more representative of its voters than than the candidate themselves, so I will always disagree with the dingbats who act as though it's arrogant to ask a campaign to change tactics or focus on an issue. We have the right- they are running to be our representative!! Should the Trump campaign change tactics? Focus on an issue you aren't hearing enough about? Are there any critiques you would make? Is the campaigning vigorous enough? How does their ground game seem to you? What is your general sense of the race, so far? 😉

Same! My parents bristled when we told each other to shut up. I grew up in late 90s/early 2000s & my parents were modern people, but they still were traditional. Manners were important. Of course we all think bad thoughts & once in a very great while- when it is truly justified- it might be ok to say 😉

I think it’d be an absolutely great issue. I wish I had a direct line to the Trump Campaign. I’m not sure they would be receptive. They need to open up & hear their voters. Address concerns! 😉

NBC morons would want Trump to focus only on the idea (not a fact) that Kamala is not a Natural Born Citizen. Every other day some NBC kook posts another mind damaging thread that Kamala is not eligible.

They could care less about the 100 or more real reasons Heels Up should be defeated. They only care about this one single issue.

I remember my parents having the discussion as a kid in 1992. They were upset with GHWB sr. For breaking his no new taxes pledge. Daddy held his nose & voted Bush; momma was angry & protest voted for Perot. I think a lot of people were angry about that broken tax pledge & they hoped he’d be more conservative like Reagan! 😉

Not really. I understand how people can read it & assume it’s an argument for the same exact thing. It’s not! I don’t believe identity politics- i.e. you are black, therefore...you have to vote this way/ racial solidarity; this is the party of women’s issues; etc. I will never support racial mandates & the like. I still believe the most important aspect for a candidate should be their beliefs & values.

However, I don’t have a problem taking factors into account. We always have. Weve always advocated sticking runningmates from specific states or regions on a ticket to help win over those voters. “Hey, he could help us in the midwest!” That is, in a sense, an identifier. Lord knows the appeal of Trump was toward winning over working class whites- that the GOP used to struggle with. I’m not advocating that we should champion different values or opinions in order to win. I am arguing that just like picking a New Englander with a strong mid-atlantic accent could definitely sway New England erst & a Pennsylvanian could help sway Pennsylvania.

There were a lot of people that didn’t want to vote Biden bc they wanted someone younger. In a sense that could be “identity”. But it’s not- in the sense of Democrat identity politics. If we are being honest, the fact that they take into account someone’s gender or race isn’t the thing th as t bugs us so badly. What is wrong about their identity politics is that they believe people of a certain gender, race, sexuality, etc. are only allowed to belong to a specific set of ideas & political party. It asks you to elevate your gender, race, etc. above your Americanism. Th a ts vile to me.

We shouldn’t mistakenly assume, however, that people don’t respond to seeing faces like their own. They do & we all know it. I am a female. I’m also a traditionalist conservative. I’m happy to see men in charge. I can tell you, though, that it’d be nice to see super conservative women on a ticket. This movement & it’s members, by nature, & likely without realizing it, end up choosing white males out of habit because of their own identity as white males. 40% of the country is non-white; 60% is white; males are half that number- 30%. If you are only willing to elect from a pool of 30%, the other 70% will pass us by. That’s reality! 😳

You were a kid in 1992....you’re still a kid, kid!!!

We four siblings grew up never knowing where our folks stood on politics and really never gave it any thought. We lived on a farm in upstate NY and they went to town to vote but politics was never discussed at the supper table. Probably all the adults talked among themselves knowing it wouldn’t interest us.

The only thing I remember is how much they DISLIKED FDR and MacArthur during WWII - having lost my uncle on Bataan...Promises were made to resupply the men there and MacArthur took much of that blame. He made some horrible decisions about the food available to them etc., before the surrender.

History was rewritten even from that time many years ago when we were told the supplies had to go to Europe. The men were promised the resupply but MacArthur never went to bat for them. I am now reading a book from the outfit my uncle served with in Bataan, 31st US Infantry Regiment and the losses and conditions were unbelievable. He was my mother’s only brother and I am glad she never knew how horrible the conditions were there. Merciful would have been his death immediately but we never knew. I have the letters he wrote to her from the Philippines. She wrote to him on Christmas Day 1941 and that letter was returned to her and is among the ones she gave me.

As am I and I’ve voiced my opinion many times about women in politics.. I had a long working career and was happiest in any job with a man for a boss as opposed to a woman.

In years past, it - “they” - weren’t so bad but somewhere along the way, women in any power position turned out to be obnoxious people with only a few exemptions...THAT has also been a thread for discussion in the past month...We thought of Thatcher and Meir as the only exceptions..Too bad we couldn’t find some like them now!! I’ve digressed, I know but I jump in when the water is right...

They have race based identity politics and abortion, that’s it. Trump/Vance have the trust in managing the economy wrapped up. Pound, pound, pound the democrats on economic failures. Ignore stupid questions, and pound the economy.

When the D’s and their lazy media distract and go to all they have, race identity politics and abortion, keep the response simple and repeat, repeat, repeat.

Trump needs to navigate the race based BS by going right to the point of decades of Dem failure. For 50-60 years the Dem party has had full control of every run down city in the US.

His message needs to be centered on the fact that when it comes to minority constituencies, especially AA’s, Dems promise everything, deliver absolutely nothing and every four years blame someone else, collect the votes, and go right back to doing nothing. It’s the way they like it, want it, and need it. Say it.

On abortion, he needs to succinctly state that power lies with the states now, specifically their voters and elected reps. It is 100% out of control at the federal level for good, thus it no longer matters who gets elected President now, or ever.

That’s the truth! They don’t seem to make ladies like Margaret or Golda. Speaking of which- you should check out the movie, I think, “Golda with Helen Mirren. Amazing movie. She was a staunch lady!! & Margaret Thatchrr is a heroine of mine- staunch & a lady!! It would seem they broke the mold after them. A different generation- before “feelings” became so important. I was always a fan of Queen Elizabeth II as well. She had a strong faith & wanted to do a good job for her people. She even served as a mechanic in the military in WWII. I agree with you. They don’t seem to make ladies like them anymore. For that matter, they don’t seem to make those kind of men either 🤣🤣🤣
