What recommendations would you like to suggest to the Trump campaign? Any political movement probably has to be more representative of its voters than than the candidate themselves, so I will always disagree with the dingbats who act as though it's arrogant to ask a campaign to change tactics or focus on an issue. We have the right- they are running to be our representative!! Should the Trump campaign change tactics? Focus on an issue you aren't hearing enough about? Are there any critiques you would make? Is the campaigning vigorous enough? How does their ground game seem to you? What is your general sense of the race, so far? đ
Here we go again! I was away from here most of the day and made a vow I would not get entangled on this subject again but here I am.
You are 100% CORRECT... There has been a considerable amount of threads here about Trump’s name calling and all I can come up with is those who think there’s nothing wrong with it operate the same way in their lives. I don’t like it - I don’t have to like it to vote for the man again but I would find juvenile name calling objectionable even if it was a family member or friend.
You have to be prepared for the flak to follow taking this position here.
“”the goofballs around here “”
Proof of what I said - name calling is an acceptable way of life here!
I disagree. I think the campaign is certainly faltering right now because of non-activity. He has been ceding news cycles. I’m a political strategist- I am never of the opinion that you shouldn’t make critiques. The campaigns that make critiques are always the ones that win. The ones that fail have the voters that think there shouldn’t be critiques. We need to or we are going to lose! đł
You answered the question the FReeper asked who started this thread. You are right..
Clinton won with 42% of the vote because of Ross Perot
BRAVO - you also answered the question that started this thread just like the post before yours. The other replies are beeswax!!!
Enact a law that any country importing goods into the U.S. must meet minimum wage and benefits packages for workers, commensurate with their economies. Countries that do not would face a stiff import tariff. Compliance with these standards would be overseen by an agency composed of government, private industry, and union officials. (This should put a firm stopper into Western Taiwan’s labor and trade practices.)
This wad a good one! Short pithy offers plans on best issues & their worst.
He should highlight issues , like you said:
*immigration- she has the worst record! Drive it home!
*jobs- weak jobs numbers. All went to non-citizens
*economy- inflation. Stagflation. Gas. Groceries.
*parental rights- Cali schools transitioning kids
*stock market- crashes throughout world
*WWIII- feckless foreign policy. Idiotic globalist đ
I agree with 99% of your post...with the exception of ANY name calling being OK..
I know I’ll be looked as an oddball but my parents set down rules in our household and if they did a good job, those lessons were meant stick with us all our lives...we were not allowed to contradict, call anyone names, say “shut up” to ANYONE. We four siblings never gave them any reason to be disappointed in us. I was the youngest and the last one now but I remember the lessons taught with love.
Shannon, Iâm hoping you actually have a way to get an IMPORTANT suggestion to someone in the leadership of the Trump campaign. Trump wants to not tax TIP INCOME. This is a wonderful (and vote getting) proposal as long as it is limited to exclusion of tips from the federal income tax. For many people tips are a very substantial portion of their income. Currently tips are subject to the relatively low percentage FICA taxes and therefore are included in the computation of the workerâs eventual Social Security benefit. Excluding tips from Social Security withholding could have a VERY adverse impact on the workerâs eventual Social Security payment amount and therefore would be bad.
So, IMHO, Trump should specifically say his proposal is to exempt received tips from INCOME TAXES but, if asked, say they will continue to be covered by Social Security benefit determinations. We wouldnât want him to be âambushedâ by this in a debate or elsewhere.
#44 Another one snuck or sneaked in there....
Propose a balanced (or surplus) White House budget “Year 1” (aka “Year 5”).
Leave well enough alone.
Never interfere with an enemy while he's in the process of destroying himself.

That's more than Kamaly has done.
Bravo! Great suggestions. I have to say I still think he should switch VP choices too. We have time. I’m sure Vane is a good guy, but I don’t think he serves or balances the ticket well. A VP pick should address different constituencies you’d like to attract. We may scoff that Biden chose camel toe bc of her ethnicity but in modern diverse nations- it’s incredibly smart. Now it shouldn’t be just anybody with a certain appearance- they have to share your principles & values, be well spoken & a good campaigner & capable of connecting with voters. But taking their region, gender, age or ethnicity into account as a way of bringing in a group of voters sending signal they are considering you is just plain smart politics.
We already know that the general base of the Republicans is overwhelmingly white, middle aged (30s, 40s, 50s, 60s), more male on average, more married than single, middle incomes/class (upper middle, middle middle, lower middle), more religious & traditional & libertarian & capitalist. One area we were weaker in in the last several elections- suburban women. Perhaps picking a female VP could have helped address this. Tulsi Gabbard would have been an attractive, verbally effective moderate conservative that may have helped attract some of the wobbly chick’s. We also know that black males are questioning whether the Democrat Party is serving their interests. I am seeing this in the real world. I have watched interviews with Senator Byron Donald’s. He is masterful & very disciplined. It might have led a lot of those black men to vote GOP. I hate to say- but I think Vance was a terrible pick. He added nothing. We already have the white male vote sewn up. We need votes beyond that alone. We need to compete! đ

And the cuckservatives who voted for Perot.
Interesting point. Could those receiving tips if they are excluded from taxation, be considered SELF EMPLOYED and the person receiving them could then declare them as such and pay the tax on tips that WOULD be added to SS earnings thus not taking a hit on future benefits? Sorry that’s so convoluted.. It’s been a long time since I was in tax prep business but you bring up a great point.
I also hope the original poster has the ear of someone to pass the idea to...thanks for your post...
I was one who voted for Perot and as with all name calling going on here, that isn’t necessary!!!
I live just north of Military City USA. Vance could do very well here in San Antonio.
