CNN anchor Michael Smerconish called black men who felt Kamala Harris is not really black 'low information voters.'
During his show on Saturday, Smerconish played a clip from CBS affiliate WHP filmed at a central Pennsylvania barber shop late last month asking black men what they thought about the vice president.
In the clip, a local journalist was speaking to black men at a barber shop when some said the didn't think Harris was black.
But Smerconish was quick to correct them, with a disparaging label.
'When I played that audio on my SiriusXM radio program on Thursday, many callers who self-identified as African American were quick to tell me that those men were the exception, not the rule,' Smerconish said.
'Some describe them as low-information voters no different than you'd find among whites.'
Left-wing journalist Glenn Greenwald, who frequently calls out liberal hypocrisy, was among those accusing Smerconish of pompous behavior.
'Among the many hilarious parts of this CNN video is that, after the Black men explain their views on Kamala and race, the White Man of Authority calls them stupid, and says that's not how the majority of black people think, which he knows because his black friends told him so,' Greenwald posted on X.
Smerconish himself is a former Republican who has been an independent voter since 2010. He recently said that Harris has questions to answer about her ultra-liberal track record as she attempts to pivot to the center for her presidential campaign.

Smerconis is a former Philly radio host who went from supporting Buchanan in ‘92 to being an Obama zombie in ‘08. He is such a narcissist. Who is he to tell black men whom they consider to be black women? Yes, Kamala has dark skin, but she’s not an African American.

The Trump team needs to move off of this and pivot into policy even when the media tries to focus on race, gender, etc. Call them out on it, ignore their race-bating questions and go right into the failed policies of biden/harris and contrast them to Trump's.
From what I have seen of late, Vivek Ramaswamy and to a lesser degree, Tulsi Gabbard, have been masterful at this. It would be wise for the Trump campaign to bring both of them (especially Vivek) on as consultants and advisors.
Vivek's communication skills in terms of being able to articulate his points and make compelling arguments is off the charts.
The Slaves are not supposed to be able to think for themselves. They are supposed to parrot what their Masters, the Democrats and the Democrat media have told them.
And the Useful Idiot Slaves are supposed to keep them in line so that their Democratic Masters don't get their hands dirty.

Harris simply isn’t an American black. She’s a hindi Jamaican black raised in Canada during her formative years
I think both can be accomplished. Noting the reaction of the left I can see that it has hit a nerve.
The reaction to Trump’s response shows this. They know who and what camel toe is. They know that until five minutes ago both her and the media have identified her as Indian or Asian.
As bongino has said identity politics is by definition cannibalistic. They have created this narrative of race centric politics and cultural appropriation.
Just like going down south and adopting a poor attempt at southern speak is clear sign of pandering, so is this shift from Indian to black.
If anything I would create some ads using her own words and theirs about her past identification as Indian to now black. The reason is simple many have no clue to this part of her past, and it shows another side of just how opportunistic she is, and how, at best, disingenuous and pandering she and they are.
No different than showing the media and administration calling her the border czar and now saying she never was.
Again their reaction shows just how afraid they are of this issue

The “news media” is willing to lie as long as it advances their agenda. A white woman can be a Native American, a man can be a woman, an Asian Indian can be a African Black, Climate change is the result of human’s existing, Democrats have always supported civil rights, all conservatives are “extreme” and the list goes on.

The democrats believe they have to keep blacks suppressed in order to keep them voting democrat; on the plantation, if you will. Major components of this are the poverty of the welfare state, the destruction of black families, eugenics, inner city housing projects, and government schools that really don’t educate. The real failure is black leaders (Obama) who who willingly go along with this oppression of black people. The real questions for democrat politicians that should be asked are what have you done lately that gives us a path out of the morass you created so we can experience the good life all Americans are promised. Along comes Kamala who, while her skin may be dark, is part of the democrat suppression machine. She’s a descendant of players in the slave trade on her Jamaican side and the other half is Indian. I believe these Americans in the barbershop have her pegged. She may be dark, but she’s part of the democrat plantation team which does not represent the black community. When all blacks, when all Americans realize the democrat party is out for the democrat party first, the party’s over. Maybe then we can all be American.
I haven’t heard mulatto in some time, but you are correct. It used to be used for mixed blacks. In any case, I think the current term for American Blacks is “mixed”. I’ve even heard “yellow”, I think.
But in Kamala Harris’ case, she is simply not from an American Black background. Her mom was Hindi, her dad Jamaican, and probably with some African in his background. They came to America and did not claim citizenship until long after Kamala’s birth. Both were connected to university jobs, I think. Got divorced.
Harris spent her crucial formative years in Canada from about 12-18, iirc, because her mom moved there.
There is nothing about that background that touches the background experience of an American Black.
