Does this mean that you’re buying me a Ferrari 308 for my birthday?

Western wear may also be a reaction to Wokeness.

People who wear boots and a hat for “fashion” = poesers.
Have as much in common with us as a man in a dress is a woman.

Let’s just say I don’t wear my Lucchese’s horseback riding. That’s for Ariat’s.

Maybe the urban cowboy bars will make a comeback?

I bought my first Stetson just before Urban Cowboy came out. I was working in the desert and needed to protect my face and neck. It was $20. By the end of summer, the same hat was $100.
Made it tough on real cowboys, or those of us who used cowboy hats for work.
FWIW, I switched to Tilley hats about 15 years ago. All cotton, run around $50-60.

Few things in this world are sadder than hat condoms. Your hat is there to protect you from the weather, if you have to protect your hat from the weather that’s the wrong hat.

I wear Pendleton. Always have.
Have my Grandpa’s 1960s red and black with pearl buttons and cowboy yoke.

Fugget it, Jake, it's Jackson.
If you’d like something more interesting, there’s the black snake vertebrae hat band, set with moonstones and diamonds.
I know the boys at the feed store would be impressed if I walked in wearing one of those.

I can’t imagine ever wanting to look like a hick. A former coworker who was from Texas called them Rexall cowboys because they got their cowboy hat at a drugstore.

As you can see below, I wear cowboy clothing and have been for years. I just feel more comfortable that way. Yet everyone at a nearby country bar avoids me. It’s a real mystery.

This is akin to the guys who drive a Platinum or King Ranch F-X50s, with a chassis lift and big tires, plus all the right stickers with bull n@ts hanging from the trailer hitch ... and the truck has NEVER been off the pavement and there’s no mud, anywhere. I have even seen shiny tire spray on some. Pavement Princesses. Same for some Jeeps.
Posers.
Out where we live, we drive trucks cuz we need them, and they are part of our tools-kits. Mine stays dirty and gets washed by the rain. It works for a living. I *do* wash it twice a year to keep my wife happy.
Also, one look at a person’s cowboy boots and the condition/wear thereof will tell you if they ever get their hands dirty.
