How do you spot a psychopath? According to one new study, there’s one recognisable sign.
New research suggests that levels of head movement during a conversation could be an indicator.
Scientists researching in New Mexico conducted a study by observing recordings of women in police interviews.
Just like with men, they found that the most psychopathic among those interviewed kept their heads very still during conversation.
Researchers at the University of New Mexico's Department of Psychology in Albuquerque claim to have conducted the first study into indicators of psychopaths in women.
They said in the study, Personality and Individual Differences: “Nonverbal behaviors (i.e., head dynamics) represent an important, yet understudied, form of communication that may enhance our ability to detect certain forms of psychopathology, including psychopathy. “We believe our results help identify a unique pattern of head dynamics characteristic of women scoring high on psychopathy, specifically, exhibiting more stationary head positioning during clinical interview administration.”
Scientists involved in the study used image processing and machine learning tool to record the head movements of 213 incarcerated women who were told they were being filmed.

I read recently they have seriously underestimated the numbers of female psychopaths. Previously the male/female ratio was about 6:1, but the females are more subtle and they’re revised it to 1.25:1. So basically they underestimated female psychopaths about 4 times. They occur almost at the same rate as male psychopaths.
Keeping their heads “quiet” as they speak may be their subconscious saying “look at me!!!”

I tend to doubt this. I knew a woman with psychopathic tendencies whose head moved a lot when she was talking.

My ex wife was/is a Psychopath. No empathy for anyone not even her own children. Took me 10 years to figure it out. The cannot have a useful emotional interaction without it benefits them. Even then they have to fake the emotional side because they can’t actually feel for anything except their own gain. They are a sad group yet also very dangerous.
So “the science” is using DC denizens as guinea pigs? Good to know. Wonder how much money “the science” got for studying things we already knew. 🤔
Pretty sure actors and directors have known this for a while. When they want to depict someone as exhibiting this trait, having them give a cold, icy, motionless stare, or otherwise being cold and distant and unmoving, seems pretty standard.
Lots are tranny. But yes, real women psychos are on the rise.

This reminds of when “scientists” made broad sweeping generalizations based on the lumpiness of a person’s head.
