A cruise line has offered the adventure of a lifetime for retirees to explore the world in luxury and give them a chance to beat inflation.
Villa Vie Residences has launched their Endless Horizons program, which allows passengers to set sail on the Villa Vie Odyssey ship and take off on a seven-continent adventure on May 30.
The luxury cruise liner requires a one time payment of $299,999 for a single room and $499,999 for a double occupancy cabin.
'One aspect most people nearing retirement age are concerned about is ongoing living expenses and the possibility of outliving their savings,' Kathy Villalba, the Chief Operating Officer of Villa Vie Residences, said.
'This program eliminates that concern altogether while offering the ultimate dream: exploring every corner of the world by sea.'
The once in a lifetime experience lasts for 1,301 days, allowing passengers to visit 147 countries, 425 destinations, and more than 100 islands.
According to the company's website, some of the wonderous places that the ship will stop at along the way includes the Eiffel Tower, Rio de Janeiro, Greenland, the Caribbean, Australia, Bali and more.
Passengers can even visit some of the biggest spots in the US, including New York City, Miami and Washington D.C. There is also an option to 'customize your voyage' so travelers can pick and choose where they want to go.
The ship, which is currently docked in Belfast, Northern Ireland, also features all-inclusive dining, medical consultations, excursions, high-speed internet, and the ability to invite family and friends onboard.
For $129 a night, friends and family of passengers are allowed to join the adventurous retirees onboard.
The cruise offers wellness classes and fitness facilities and a boat load of activities onboard, including gourmet dining options, and entertainment options.

10 days on a cruise and I was pretty much bored.
There is no guarantee the cruise outfit will stay solvent for 3 years.
There is no guarantee for quality of food & entertainment offered.
Similar deals before have history of cruise outfit going bankrupt.
150 one week cruises for 2 people on reputable cruise companies are available for $1500x 150
I spent enough of my life cruising the seas. I’m taking an Alaska cruise later this year (my first on a ship that isn’t painted gray), but I’m not really a cruiser. If they stopped several days in each port to see the sights, I might be more interested. But what’s the point of pulling into Athens, Rome, Nice, Tokyo, or any other port for 12 hours?
My sister on the other hand is a cruise fanatic. Several a year and typically 3-8 weeks. She has an around the world cruise coming next year. Cruising is her thing. Maybe the Alaska cruise will change my outlook.
Sounds like a fun deal if I had the money. As it is I will have to stay home & try to live out my life on a LOT less money than what the cruise line wants.
“Good until the company goes bankrupt”
exactly ...
Only 300k! whadda deal!
Spend those golden years riding out the apocalypse on an old plague ridden ship! All you can eat (til it runs out)
I seriously would not do this even if it was free....
I’ll just stay here on the farm...
Was there much rain in Spain?
Lifetime ticket?
It says 1301 days, about 3 1/2 years.
So. A lifetime is now 1,301 days?
Lol! I couldn’t resist.
Could always take a cruise up river to kill Superman’s father like John Kerry.
There were so many good songs that came from that movie.
Each one, expertly composed and orchestrated.
More legacy gifts from Rodgers & Hammerstein, I think.
Nothing can beat the most luxurious cruise ship ever, “The Magic Christian” (1969) - Ringo Starr, Peter Sellers. Full movie;

We are both retired and have taken many cruises the last one was just over six months ago. What we discovered on the last one that as we get older the cruise experience became less enjoyable.
People who have never taken a cruise have never experienced the joy of a ship in rough seas were your every step is a potential fall, and even laying in bed is not a relief as the ship moves and jerks about.
Then there are the crowds. Our first cruise was on a small ship with only 2,000 passengers our last cruise was with over 6,000 passengers! The only quite time is in the middle of the night and even then there are people moving about.
We have just grown too old to enjoy want cruising has to offer and the idea of retiring on one gives me nightmares.
(The other reason not to take them up on this offer is what is to say that the shipping company goes bankrupt and you are out all that money and may even be in a foreign port and have to find your own way home.)
Not false, just wasted diplomacy.
I suppose burial at sea is included in the fee. Just roll the old codger in a sheet and toss them over the side. I also see nothing about medical care on board. Lots of luck if you get sick and the nearest port is a third world country where medical care is sketchy at best.
If the ship doesn’t take you where you want to go for however long you want, how is this cruise any different than enlisting in the navy?
“Not false,”
FALSE
” just wasted “
True
“diplomacy.”
