WAS IT AN “ACCIDENT?” Lara Logan Intel Sources Claim Baltimore Bridge Collapse On “Second busiest strategic roadway for hazardous materials” Was “absolutely brilliant strategic attack”

Independent journalist Lara Logan’s report on the “accident” is very different from the reports in the mainstream media.

Here’s what Logan had to say about the cargo ship’s “accident” with the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore:

Multiple intel sources: The Baltimore bridge collapse was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on US critical infrastructure – most likely cyber – & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason-Dixon line, exactly like the Civil War.

The second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material is now down for 4-5 years – which is how long they say it will take to recover. Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material – fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals, and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels – that supply chain now crippled.

Make no mistake: this was an extraordinary attack in terms of planning, timing & execution.

The two critical components on that bridge are the two load-bearing pylons on each end, closest to the shore. They are bigger, thicker and deeper than anything else. These are the anchor points and they knew that hitting either one one of them would be a fatal wound to the integrity of the bridge.

Half a mile of bridge went in the river – likely you will have to build a new one. Also caused so much damage to the structural integrity of the bottom concrete part that you cannot see & won’t know until they take the wreckage apart. Structural destruction likely absolute.

Attack perfectly targeted.

“They have figured out how to bring us down. As long as you stay away from the teeth of the US military, you can pick the US apart.

“Another conspiracy expert who solves everything with a Google search. Now she’s an expert on global shipping vessels.”

Logan, being who she is, has access to a higher level of information, was told that by people she usually accesses for information. She said nothing about a google search.

The six construction workers working on the bridge who were lost in the river were all foreign nationals, probably illegals. Can imagine the quality of their “repairs”.

Possible Hindi who loves the anti-western Hindustanian media - might be a source of trouble (and is pro-Russian). But unknown in online info, for the moment.

Best explanation so far:
I'm a marine engineer; here's my guess at what has happened.

When a ship leaves port there is a requirement to start stand-by generators for the duration of the voyage out.

But sometimes there are other issues, a switch board failure, or auto-control issue and you can lose the lot. it has happened to me a few times over the years. Everything goes off-line and the main engines shut down automatically because they have no feed pumps for fuel, lube oil and air.

The emergency generator will usually start - a small diesel housed on the upper deck usually behind the bridge. It gives enough power for the nav gear and some ventilation, and enough power to enable the engineers to get the rest of the gear back on-line.

That is probably driving the lights we see come back on but not as many as before. The engineers then go round the engine room and control room and manually switch all the gear back on. That can take some time.

But because of the emergency the engineers in this case would have to make a terrible decision to start the main engines immediately to go emergency full astern possibly without supporting pumps and almost certainly with some engine damage.

Black smoke is always a sign of incomplete combustion. the massive pumps that supply air to the engine room would be off-line and so the engines would be gasping for air. The fuel would burn but without enough air hence the black smoke. in full-astern mode the rudder would be used. -- There is a close up photo of the ship showing the port anchor was dropped.

All that may have just made it a better projectile for its target.

I can’t know with confidence at this point whether it was sabotage/an act of covert war—or just an f-up. And neither can any other Freepers.

I’m curious to know how many ships have been stranded inside the port. Those are the only things facing a long-term stoppage while this gets sorted out. The maritime shipping industry and their landside partners in the trucking and railroad industries probably had their contingency operation plans in action within 15 minutes of the incident, diverting cargo to neighboring ports with as little disruption as possible.

The ship was leased. The ship’s charter company had no employees or contractors aboard. Nobody is saying who insured the ship or who the captain was. The insurer takes the financial cost. The captain and crew should not be able to leave the country. And we should know the name of the harbor pilots who were in charge of navigating the ship out of the harbor. Those are the important pieces of information and we don’t know any of them. We just know its a Singapore flag which means almost nothing. The captain and the harbor pilots are the people who would have to be involved if this was malfeasance or misfeasance.

Whether by incompetence of crew, the management, cheap parts or cunning saboteurs, this shocking disaster shows us one thing: the philosophical base of our country upon which Capitalism flourished has been dismantled without a shot being fired. (see tagline + the philosophy department at any university)

Lara Logan offers nothing but her say so for her so called “multiple intel sources”.

But people will read it because conspiracy theories are the hottest selling “news” comodities these days.

“Well, the ship, supposedly out of control, did make a right hand turn into the support.”

It’s a massive ship with a deadweight of 116,000 tons and the power went out and then they went full reverse...the equivalent of slamming on the brakes in your car.

Cars tend to lose control under the same conditions.

The Titanic attempted a similar crash stop and they also lost rudder response when they went full reverse on the engines.

“Oh here we go with the conspiracy theories.”

With every single event that happens .
The crazy people have their crazy conspiracy theories amplified with the no barrier social media.
The bad thing is when some actually nefarious event happens, it will be less believable .
It will just blend in to the false accusations of other events .
Mass delusion on all sides of the spectrum .

Why was it so quickly determined to be hackers, terrorism, etc?

The Usual Suspects here popped up almost immediately claiming some kind of conspiracy - like they do about everything bad that happens.

It’s more sensible to believe in accidents than in the fevered ravings of some of these posters.

Such a critical bridge should have had protection cells around the supports.
Without them, there should have been pilot boats (tugs) to steer every ship beyond the bridge.
This vessel was traveling too fast in the proximity of an unprotected structure.
Somebody’s heads should roll over poor procedures resulting in this incident. There, of course, will be no accountability.

Riiiiggghhhhttttt. And they knew EXACTLY how the ship would travel. A more plausible theory is God has had enough of the American BS, and is raining down judgments quicker than we can absorb them.

“The captain and the harbor pilots are the people who would have to be involved if this was malfeasance or misfeasance.”

The malfeasance was the ship’s owner skimping on maintenance costs.

“until it’s proven true.”

Those that are poo-pooing any theories of sabotage are, for some reason, assuming that none of the unusual events that have occurred thus far were deliberately caused. Multiple train derailments, food processing facility fires (and other wildfires deliberately set), and now this. They also ignore the fact that we have millions of foreign operatives and hostile-nation terrorists running around freely in America now. It makes one wonder what their motivation in mocking the sabotage debate is. I can already guess. Sure, accidents happen. But this many? This often?

A cyber attack causing this latest ‘event’ is quite possible, and even probable. I don’t believe in coincidences any more. Not in this new reality we’re dealing with.

A single screw boat / ship / vessel is prone to the propellor “walking” (known as paddlewheel effect or asymmetric blade thrust) - particularly when the vessel is set to run in Reverse motion.

So why was it so close to a support pillar in the first place? Other than that are you making the case this was all an accident caused by a sting of coincidences at exactly the wrong spot and exactly the wrong time?
