Google Timeline can track your Android Device in detail linked to your account

This is very scary. Anywhere I stopped for more than a couple of minutes in the last few years is shown as a red dot on a world map.

The level of detail is very creepy when you zoom in. I didn't recall being in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles or Seattle . . . but zoom in and I'm at the airport.

Yeah, that’s really “zoomed in” to see you were in NYC /s

Turn the location history off.

Can’t you turn it off?

The Google business model is, of course, to totally own every scrap of information about you. So you shouldn’t be surprised by this stuff.

I have an eye phone. I’d like to think it’s better in this regard, but maybe not.

Took a quick look. I don’t exist.

Location is usually turned off, and location is denied to most apps. Android.

“Can’t you turn it off?”

Agree. Most likely you can turn off your access to your history, but the information is too valuable to Google, and to the government. So it’s still collected.

Only real option is to either leave it home (if going to a Trump rally), or put it in a Faraday Bag and make damn sure it stays there (until you have an alibi during the Trump rally).

A phone Faraday cage of some type for most minutes of the day is in order for everyday going forward.

You know what’s very weird about Google timeline? They have some weird blacklist of places of worship... or at least Catholic churches. It basically never shows me in church (EVEN if the church is also like a tourist attraction, e.g., Sagrada Familia in Barcelona).

You can go into your privacy settings and turn it off. Plus delete your location history.

Websearch it.

Yeah, I have an Android smart phone too and get the Google timeline emailed to me each month.

I'm old and retired so I don't hardly ever leave my city but it's fun to see where I've been so I don't forget, LOL.

Yes. Indeed it is. In a Creepy Big Brother Way.

And yet there are still people that doubt that this will eventually happen.

There will be no place to hide. Take the Mark of the Beast and BUY and SELL (and burn in the Lake of Fire forever or get your head cut off and live with Jesus Christ forever. (Revelation 20:4)

Exactly.

666 isn’t here yet.

But the groundwork for the tracking and control is already in place.

Of course Google can do the same as Garmin or SPOT GPS personal trackers for hiking - on the Application Trail will limited and spotty tower reception. With Google Maps it will show your progress right on the Application Trail with ever fading in and out cell tower reception. Poor Fani gettin spanked.

It could come in handy if you are accused of a crime you didn’t commit.

George Orwell never imagined that people would someday voluntarily buy recording devices for their homes and carry tracking devices wherever they go.

Turn the location history off.

As if that actually stops them from gathering the data.

It should at least make it harder for them. I keep my location settings off and when I check history, there is none to be had.

[But it may be like HIPPA stuff...they have access pretty much for any reason and its just you and yours who do not...]
