Like I said I don’t take perscription meds and I only go to my primary care doctor once a year in order to get blood work done. I have found if you go to the doctor and mention one little problem the first thing they say is, “Here take this”

Now I know when I have a bladder/urinary track infection I need something for that so I will take an antibiotic then.

My father lived to be 95 and he never took Rx’s nor went to doctors. He did take aspirin.

On the other hand my mother lived to be only 76. She went to doctors all the time. She had a pill book and took everything they prescribed for her plus over the counter stuff.

“Didn’t mean to bring up sad memories!”

Oh the fact the marriage didn’t last wasn’t sad for us. It was very interesting seeing a Jewish wedding.

What was sad, is he remarried, had a son, then was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He believed in all natural medicine so wouldn’t do the treatment by medical doctors. He died when his son was only 10. That was sad.

Wish I HAD pictures of the boat - I just have pictures of Dad sailing on various craft - usually tying knots for something. ;) The ‘Ms. B. Haven’ has been gone a good 30 years, now. Lost Dad in 2020. BUT - so many good memories. He was a great Dad. :)

His classics:

“Well, you can MARRY him, but you’re going to have to finish RAISING him!” (Too true!)

“There’s no CRYING in Cribbage! I’m just trying to make you a better player!” (And he did!)

“What are you going to DO with your life? You’re not hanging around HERE much longer. 18 and OUT!” (I joined the Army at 17; spent most of my life there.)

“You can’t even begin to IMAGINE how much I love you.” *SNIF*

Gets me in the ‘feels’ every time I remember that. :)

Very poignant quotes from your dad. Thanks for sharing that.

Soooo, have you ever gotten a 29 hand in cribbage? Lol I play crib with my grandson quite a bit. I actually got a 28 hand one time - I had the wrong Jack lol.

Hi Spunky....

I noted tonight that President Trump emphasized the corruption of Ukraine - he seemed to elaborate a bit more on his knowledge of what’s going on, without being specific. I suspect he has some big plans to rip the bandaid off of the scab that is Ukraine, once in office.

Money laundering, child farms, child sex trafficking, organ harvesting, biolabs, CIA spy facilities....a whole lotta evil going on.

Quite the profile page. I am curious. It says you joined FR in 2004 and on your page you say you are 62. So is that now or what you were in 2004? If that were back then you would now be 82. Two yrs. younger than me.

Are you still on that 160 or was it 180 acre farm?

And thank you for your service.

You had a great Dad!
The one about cribbage could have been my Papa!
My mother criticized everything I said or did, but he made up for it!
Thank you for sharing him with us!

Was that at his second rally? I didn’t get to watch it.
