I have always used Brave browser to do my online banking. Now, when I try to log in using Brave, all my login attempts are rejected and I have to resort to using Safari, which works. I tried to contact Support at Brave, but they have their website so obfuscated as to make it impossible to ask for support (which I'm sure is their intent). Has anyone experienced a similar problem, that Brave is now messing up logging in to a particular website that always used to work?
Completely erase your auto fill login name. You might have hit the spacebar by accident? Cap locks on?
I assume you’re on an Apple machine? I didn’t think Safari was made for Windoze anymore. If I’m wrong please let me know cuz I always liked the Safari browser but I stopped using it when Windoze support was dropped.
Do you have VPN?
Some of accounts will not allow log on using VPN.
Did you attempt to reset your password? Give it a try. I say that because of the specific error message you saw.
I came to work this morning and all my bookmarks were GONE, just like it was installed.................
Caps Lock on/off?
NUM Lock on/off?
In the interest of increasing security to identify it’s you accessing your account, they need you to make sure you use software that makes it easy to spy on you, thereby making it less secure.
Does your bank not have an app?
The way to get help with your Brave browser is to not use it to do online banking. Insanity. My brother, against my advice, got hacked and they cleaned out his bank account. Once he watched them do it in real time. He got it all back but had to buy an new phone and it all was distressing.
I have noticed some pages are just blank. But if I use Edge browser, it’s there.
Nope.
And the name of the bank!😉🤣
Happens to me a lot...........
Uninstall Brave and re install it.
Yep something went kablooie with my Brave browser. I am now using Safari like you and Chrome.
That’s probably it. Expect more of this as Microsoft’s AI spreads out into more inappropriate areas.
+1
Disabling the Brave Shield for the site is worth a shot. Have done it for some banking sites that are loaded up with ads/trackers/etc.
I had to clear the browser cache once but I use that as a nuclear option. Close the browser after doing so just to make sure things are flushed out.
Similar experience here, with multiple accounts. They never worked with Brave. SFAIK, no other accounts have stopped working with Brave recently, but I would not be surprised to see that happen if someone “upgrades” their site.

Ok, I figured it out I think. I was using Brave to access Wells Fargo. Apparently, by default they have some sort of blocker call "Shields UP" that blocks tracking and is enabled by default. If enable, you can't log into Wells Fargo. Shields up is Brave's ad blocker.
What's strange is that I also tried logging into Wells Fargo using Firefox and the same thing happened even if I turn off ublock origin. AT teh same time, it works with firefox on Windows with ublock origin enable.
As for password fields, Wells Fargo appears to work with Bitwarden, but many sites often use non-standard login fields. It's even worse on the Android phones
And finally, a solution if an extensions is the problem:
Create a new, temporary browser profile 95
Hope this helps.
