This happens on almost every article now. Wasn't always this way. I can get trashed as a conservative now just about anywhere I go. I don't need to get it on FR.
Especially after having to deal with out-of-town relatives on my wife's side visiting us. Who have clearly been completely suborned by the woke left. Big shock.
My wife doesn't want to accept that fact. These people even stopped celebrating Christmas. However, when she offered them The Epoch Times to read, the response she got was: "Oh, is this that RIGHT-WING rag"?
That was her son talking. Her own son. My stepson. Very successful young man with an adoring second wife. Ex-military he is. His son is also ex-military who now works for a large federal agency. But "resettles migrants" in his spare time.
They are breaking up families, it's part of the plan.
I'm convinced. It's happening as we speak. There'll be no forums left anywhere for any kind of dissent from the new orthodoxy.

I grew up in a leftist community.
My high school and college were filled with leftists.
I didn’t agree with them on anything.
You learn how to cope.
Those of us who grew up with that kind of adversity got tough and skilled at defending our views as needed.
One powerful technique is humor.
True leftists cannot laugh at themselves and have no sense of humor.
Their brains explode when you laugh at them with clever and original humor.
I also learned to do my homework before making a point.
I would not just say “X is true”. I would be able to prove it—often with sources they liked and approved. That is very powerful when you can do that.
Be a happy and skillful warrior.
You need to ignore them. Grow a thicker skin. It’s not you, it’s them. It happens to me also. I just don’t respond.
Find a neighbor who believes as you, pay attention to them, grow a network of people you can trust. When the SHTF you’ll be prepared as will your friends. Your kids will come around .
They come and go and always have. There are more of them now.

They start an argument hoping the other person will respond, and then they taunt back, often using a closing statement asserting some kind of weakness or fault in the OP. This is intended to get that person to emotionally respond again.
After several rounds of this clogging up a thread, other readers will drop out because the thread is hard to read with true content buried in the back-and-forth attacks.
Don't fall for it. Just let it go. If they persist, report abuse and move on.

But freedom is a conditional.
When you base your society on “freedom”, you enable communist revolution and perversion.
Freedom from isn’t enough. Freedom demands an answer to “freedom to do what?”
FR has changed in the last 54 years. It’s become very negative...especially to Republican Congress folks. Now they sure aren’t perfect...but the better course is to attack a Dem.

Epoch Times is a Falun Gong operation, so it is intensely anti-Red Chinese government.
Given their history this is entirely understandable. But by their nature they have a deep vested interest in a foreign conflict and anything related to it. They are NOT narrowly US-centric.
As a semi-sort-of Christian religion, which they take seriously (its one of those Asian syncretic things), its solidly in the camp of traditional morality.
It is not a US-centric isolationist outfit. It is however conservative. It may not be your particular flavor of conservative, but perhaps you have defined “conservative” too narrowly.
You have a very good point. In the range of conservative voices, there can be disagreement. But not over fundamental principles.
May I remind, however, that one of the goals of the Left is to demoralize. Please do not allow them to demoralize any longer.

Because they have an agenda. They are trying to sow doubt, influence us, and destroy the.MAGA movement.
I’m convinced the best thing is to keep a list of repeat offenders and just ignore them. Do not engage. The most you should do is say “troll” so as to alert other FReepers to who you suspect to be a troll.
Don’t worry about calling someone a troll who is not one - if they are not trolls let them prove it by giving a reasonable response. The real trolls never respond with reason - they just dodge, change the subject, or go in circles.
Some are better at trolling than others, so you can think you are in a reasonable conversation for a few exchanges… but trust your instincts.. once a troll has has wasted your time, write down the screen name so you know to ignore them in the future.
They all say things like “I voted for Trump twice but the last straw was when he said [————-]”. That is classic troll BS.

I find the FR folks are pretty quick to id a leftist troll and confront them with facts. The open air content lets us hear from the deranged left so we can show how weak their arguments are. Hopefully with an appreciable amount of sarcasm and ridicule.
