I don't care what FR neocons say
UK/US are officially bombing one of the poorest countries on Earth.
It's unconscionable.
I want peace. Enough.

If we are enforcing any provisions of UNCLOS it is only because those provisions meet our interests; it is unlikely we’d enforce any that were not. No offense, but that is naive at best and utterly delusional at worst.
1. What AMERICAN interests are at stake here?
2. Are you going to tell us with a straight face -- here in January of 2024, and with all that we've learned since 2015-16 -- that you still trust the clowns in our government to act in our own national interests?

Yemen is not a country by any standard definition. It is an armed camp of shite terrorists armed by Iran, attacking the civilized world.

Not propagandized by the networks?
You have surrendered any credibility you might have had left.

Yeah, it too bad the feckless US Congress has abdicated their role.
It’s criminal negligence.

The circular reasoning you've displayed here is both aggravating and childish.
Those American naval vessels were only sent over there to support and advance a globalist political and economic agenda in the first place.

I really think it’s all over but the shouting, and my fear is we’re going to trigger either a horrible war on an unimaginable scale, or the rest of the world responds to our violent approach by isolating, if not destroying, us.According to the Bible, you are correct on both counts.

There is no circular logic. Nothing else matters. We can argue that. You can’t argue that they attacked our ships.

I'm going to shut up now I promise
Flame me all you like .
This should not be happening at least without the explicit authorization of your duly elected Reps in Congress
Think about it

We’re still waiting on Erdogan et al to jump in as was assured on Oct 8th.
As far as the other shipping thread being interesting to me-
it’s interesting that No and Western Europe are defenseless to a large swarm of gnats.
The 72 td fav US military loses every time and is ineffectual and is now bombing poor Yemenis! That is always the backdrop and is never interesting.
Meanwhile, the country is arguably mightier than ever.

Keep the Suez open is in American interests. We almost went to war with the UK and France over it post ww2.
US flagged ships, and US Navy vessels, were attacked.
If you remember, the early US destroyed the Barbary pirates for similar abuses.
Of all the stupid stuff the US has done, this one at least has some justification. Of course, we will f$%K it up.

So what about pirates who would steal $300 Billion from a sovereign nation’s bank accounts? Serious question.
