"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

On January 1, 2021, Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, which includes the Corporate Transparency Act (the CTA).1 The CTA requires all U.S. businesses to file “beneficial ownership” information with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). In sum, the CTA is designed to ban the anonymous shell companies that criminals and certain foreign officials use to hide and move corrupt proceeds and other illicit financing.
The CTA is the first significant update to the U.S. anti-money laundering laws in 20 years and gives FinCEN significant authority to adopt necessary regulations to implement the provisions of the CTA.
The CTA’s Key Provisions
The CTA requires companies in the U.S. to file a report that provides the name, date of birth, current address, and unique identification number (from a passport or driver’s license, for example) of the company’s “beneficial owner(s)” to FinCEN, a bureau of the U.S. Treasury Department. This information must be updated every year to reflect any changes.
I would not be surprised if it is wide spread discontent in the PRC leading to the fall of the CCP. This would be related to the collapse of the economy. Xi may decide to have a go at Taiwan and fail spectacularly to deflect attention. I don't think it will be but I wouldn't be very surprised if something like this happens.
Xi JinPooh is probably the most isolated national leader in the world. No one else can make significant decisions affecting national internal or foreign policy. And NO ONE wants to tell Xi anything if they don't have to. As such, you have a bunch of people doing what they THINK Xi wants.
This makes it much easier for things that wouldn't matter in the US because of diffuse authority, to cause great problems in China.

It would probably maintain it’s solar orbit and there would be some kind of action with respect to the change in the orbital center of gravity between the moon and the debris field.
If a significant fraction of the earths mass did not achieve a local gravitational escape velocity it would probably re-coalesce into a planetary body.
The “impactor” would have to have some pretty odd physical characteristics to actually punch all the way through with that (visual) effect, like being a Ceres size (~600 mile diameter) mass composed of neutronium (probably ~.6 mile diameter or less, not doing any math here) and travelling at a whole number percentage of C (say 1-2K miles/sec).
It seems theoretically possible that if the whole body broke up, notwithstanding the profuse amount of gasses and water vapor that would be exsanguinated from the interior, there would be a period where objects and human structural components could exist and contain life pending the re-coalescence (hours? days?)... Geology would be a *itch afterwards, give or take a million years.
