I wonder why Atkisson said it had to do with national security.

I guess when most our stuff is being made in China, and the average Lee’s there are fixing to tell Xi to stuff it, then there’d be a huge impact on the U.S.

Xi's nukes are controlled by the Rocket Forces.

They are NOT under control of individual services as they are in the US. The services are the People's Liberation Army (PLA), PLA Navy (PLAN), or PLA Air Force (PLAAF).

Even the missiles on their Boomers are under the control of a Rocket Forces Officer and not the boat's Captain. They use a similar system to what we use to ensure that no one person can initiate the use of a weapon. I'm not sure of the exact mechanics but it involves the Rocket Forces Officer.
