Morning Joe—If SCOTUS Upholds Colorado Ruling, Trump Likely Off Ballot IN ALL 5O STATES!

Today's Morning Joe dropped a MOAB—Mother of All Bombshells. And yet it caused hardly a ripple on the set.

NBC News correspondent Vaughn Hillyard blithely reported this:

"If the Supreme Court were to affirm the Colorado Supreme Court's decision, and disqualify Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado, that'll have a far-reaching impact, likely removing him from the ballot in all 50 states.

"And of course, the concern of the Republican Party is the potential nullification of Republican electorates' votes as they're selecting their presidential nominee."

Wait a second! The concern about nullifying the votes of millions of Americans would be limited to the Republican Party? It wouldn't bother Americans at large, and specifically, the liberal media and the Democrats? You know, the people who are supposedly so concerned about existential threats to democracy?

Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Ed Meese has some analysis on 14:3 and claims it was repealed by two legislative acts.

But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove
such a disability.10
The last sentence in Section 3 giving Congress the authority to
“remove” the disability imposed by the amendment is unique. While seven
amendments have language giving Congress the “power to enforce” each
amendment “by appropriate legislation,” only the Fourteenth Amendment
has language giving Congress the power to specifically void the provisions

Amnesty Acts of 1872 and 1898. Four years after the Fourteenth
Amendment’s ratification, Congress exercised its power under Section 3
and passed the Amnesty Act of 1872 with the required two-thirds vote in
each House.15 The Act provided

So a simple 4-3 decision by judges in some jerkwater state could change the course of a national election? How very egalitarian of them.

"The statement is ridiculous and banjo boy knows it. So why say something that is that off the rails? There is a reason.

Lies repeated often enough are perceived as the truth. That and it excites the prog base which has been drifting away from Biden.

Trump was acquitted of insurrection but it seems everyone has forgotten!?

Trump had a trial (incitement of insurrection) which commenced on February 9, 2021, and concluded on February 13, 2021, with his acquittal. It aired on C-SPAN.

So a lower court is able to ignore the acquittal?

Scarborough is wishing for the end of the U.S. and its constitution.

Liberals never think that things may turn out in a manner different from what they expected.

"What rights are you talking about, you miserable cur? That stuff was under the old system. You are under arrest as an enemy of the state!"

I’ve also been guilty of commenting on articles without reading them, but JOE SCARBOROUGH WAS NOT ON THE SHOW TODAY.

It was NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard, not Scarborough, who said that if SCOTUS affirms the Colorado ruling, Trump would likely be off the ballot in all 50 states.

Because there is no set procedure or appeal process for Senate Trials, the results of a Senate Trial do not constitute legal precedent. Court trials have set procedures and an appeals process, and that is the reason an appellate court and Highest Court decision constitutes legal precedent.

Don’t see how the S/C can keep ELECTORS off the ballot; the people have a right to choose their electors.

I think there is a way around this. But MAGA is going to have to be creative and proactive.

“Why would a state court finding apply to all 50 states?”

Because Morning Joe is pretending in his demented little mind that there will be a stampede to remove Trump from all 50 state ballots.

It is not that Morning Joe actually believes the ordure he eliminates from his mouth, he is trying to align himself with his handlers demands to keep his job. The dead woman found in his office is probably another.

A dead woman was discovered in his office. He never mentions that. He only mentions unsubstantiated rumors about Trump. Again, a dead woman was literally found in his office. It is not a rumor.

The Supremes would not necessarily have to pass on the factual issue to possibly uphold the Colorado decision and I don’t there is any way they would.

The Supreme Court should use the dissent of the 3 justices;
Justice Carlos A. Samour, Justice Maria E. Berkenkotter and Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright to make their case.
