Trump was acquitted of insurrection but it seems everyone has forgotten!?

Trump had a trial (incitement of insurrection) which commenced on February 9, 2021, and concluded on February 13, 2021, with his acquittal. It aired on C-SPAN.

So a lower court is able to ignore the acquittal?

Because there is no set procedure or appeal process for Senate Trials, the results of a Senate Trial do not constitute legal precedent. Court trials have set procedures and an appeals process, and that is the reason an appellate court and Highest Court decision constitutes legal precedent.
