The five people gathered around the restaurant table do not fit the profile of colon cancer patients. They’re female, and they’re young. Two were diagnosed in their 20s, one in her 30s, two in their early 40s.
Their colon cancer support group gathers about once a month to share stories, such as the one about the doctor who said you just need a laxative, the one about the oncologist who said there’s nothing we can do for you but give you chemotherapy the rest of your life, the one about friends saying, “You don’t look sick,” without realizing that isn’t helpful.
These women know all too painfully well that something strange is happening in the United States in the long war on cancer. Although progress has been substantial in lowering the overall death rate from cancer, deaths due to some types of cancer have increased among people younger than 50.
Colorectal cancer is one of the drivers of this trend. In the past three decades, incidence of the disease has risen significantly among people younger than 50, many of whom have no obvious risk factors, such as having a genetic predisposition. No one knows why.

We may never, ever know the cause of this.
But why only in young women (in this case)...bad diets, obesity, gmo, agricultural and environmental toxins might have a large input in all of our society..but why the rise in the subgroup of young women?
It has to be some distinct to that subgroup. ( Assuming the report is correct that it is only the young women involved.)

It used to be that anal was something practiced by few. Also the use of sex toys has gone up and it seems most are not properly cleaned.
That can cause problems.
I’m guessing cheap Chinese shoes filled with toxic chemicals - or makeup or other Chinese products aimed at American women.
The Chinese ARE the people who killed hundreds of thousands of dogs with their ‘kibble’ that was used as an ingredient in most American dog foods. Of course the perverts in DC who are suppose to protect us from such horrors always miss them in favor of some stupid environmental snail darter who needs ‘protection’ from home buyers in beautiful areas they want to steal...

Certainly the case for everyone I know with cancer. Other than being gay, being a vegan is about the WORST health decision a person can make.
Colon Cancer is also Cancer of the A$$holes. There are more you A$$holes in America today than say 40 years ago.

My step grandson who came here a year ago from Turkey thinks there is something wrong with our food - he said there is a lot less cancer in Turkey.
