The five people gathered around the restaurant table do not fit the profile of colon cancer patients. They’re female, and they’re young. Two were diagnosed in their 20s, one in her 30s, two in their early 40s.
Their colon cancer support group gathers about once a month to share stories, such as the one about the doctor who said you just need a laxative, the one about the oncologist who said there’s nothing we can do for you but give you chemotherapy the rest of your life, the one about friends saying, “You don’t look sick,” without realizing that isn’t helpful.
These women know all too painfully well that something strange is happening in the United States in the long war on cancer. Although progress has been substantial in lowering the overall death rate from cancer, deaths due to some types of cancer have increased among people younger than 50.
Colorectal cancer is one of the drivers of this trend. In the past three decades, incidence of the disease has risen significantly among people younger than 50, many of whom have no obvious risk factors, such as having a genetic predisposition. No one knows why.

You win post of the day. LMAO
Did anyone ask Pete Butt-Plug for his opinion on this???
That’s what came to my mind…
I think even more insidious is the stuff that people think is healthy, like eating Farm-Raised Salmon.
Processed foods, and rise in sexual deviancy.
Americans eat too much sugar, probably by a factor of 5x-10x.
Cancer LOVES sugar.
Because the homo culture has normalized butt-sex.
most likely gay men skewing the numbers
“The quality of the food there is so much better, and it’s not even close.”
Except England.
Even England is better.
Me, me, me...My hand is up.
butt sex being normalised. IMHO.
mcdonalds, burger king. diets high in grilled or fried foods, lack of ruffage/ fiber , no leafy greens, fully human engineered foods like chicken nuggets. HFC in literally everything, canola oil, soy by-products, All these things eaten out of proportion are hell on your colon.
Gee, it couldn’t be the highly processed and fake food diet most Americans eat, now could it?
That’s not the reason.
Absolutely. The American food system is awful. You can pay more and get legitimate healthy food, but unfortunately many people don’t know or don’t care and just buy the cheapest stuff on offer. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I moved to Canada for a few years and even there the regular grocery store food was much higher quality than what’s on the shelves at Walmart or Kroger. Undoubtedly this is a big part of the cancer story, along with obesity, and all the other ills of contemporary American health.
At least grass-fed beef is not the problem.
Gee. Is there any other recent thing that these easily frightened, compliant women could have had in the previous few years that could be causing this? Let’s think really hard to PHInd an anZER.
