Taylor Swift is a true American success story and of my generation. I enjoy a few of her hit songs and admire her ESPECIALLY when compared to the other offerings of the music industry lately — but overall her music doesn’t resonate with me enough to make me go to a concert or something. (I have attended Shania, Faith Hill, Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina however LoL.)

However, one person whose choices I have NOT admired is Megyn Kelly. I did NOT enjoy her show on Fox as her primetime spot was part of its downhill spiral as a substantive source of discourse, unimpressed with her hyper-sexualized image in magazines (journalism is not the entertainment industry) and she made bank but failed to cement her place at NBC and not just because of her politics. PLUS: she singlehandedly did more than even the Leftist media in smearing and degrading Donald Trump’s name and honor by posing that stupid beyond measure and woefully inappropriate Rosie O’Donnell question at that fateful Fox GOP primary debate when Trump was still being introduced to the public as a candidate. It was his debate debut if I’m not mistaken. That day cursed his trajectory as far as media narrative was concerned more than any stupid tweet he posted or leftist fabrication thereafter.

Ditto to the admiration for Swift and as my post prior stated: Megyn Kelly’s own career choices as a journalist have not been as smart and she has not carried herself as well. And her posing that inappropriate Rosie O’Donnell question to Trump at his debut back in 2015 unfairly tarnished his standing in the media more than anything Swift has said or done.

and in fairness to Madonna, her most substantive musical offerings came after she ‘peaked’ in the 80s. I love her 2000 “Ray of Light” album. And her performance in ‘Evita’ and even her directing of the film ‘W.E.” about King Edward’s abdication. But yeah she did hypersexualize herself, has not aged gracefully, and couldn’t be taken seriously as she branched out to things like film directing — Taylor hasn’t made any of those missteps very true! So the world remains her oyster.

She started out better than she has handled it after. Her parents managed her for starters. Then either she went off in the usual success route, or someone else entered.

I’m not of the fame crowd.. But temptations are continuous and from big operators. At 20..at 30..one step of fame calls for another and another.. Once ya know this is the way it goes.. How hi and how long.
